The service and food was exceptional, we had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is relaxing and authentic. We had the European salad, the Jaeger schnitzel and the Champignon schnitzel. The dishes were perfectly prepared. The pork was juicy and tender and the sauces were delicious and the breading was crisp and not oily. We loved this place and highly recommend it.

We have always like the food. The problem is when it comes to dessert. The past three times we have tried to order the strawberry crepe we have been denied. This time my husband asked right away. Waitress shahid she would ask. Then we ordered. Well guess what?! We heard the waitress ask and about it and the lady said no and then the waitress whispered something and the lady yelled “I DON'T care!†Well you should because we will NOT be coming back nor will be ever recommend the place again. Three times denied is it! No wonder why she can't keep employees, she is very mean.

Went here for dinner with my daughter tonight. I'd been wanting to try this restaurant for a pretty long time. I'm disappointed to say I will not be back. Never mind the extremely slow/poor service. There was just the one gal running the entire front of the house. Poor planning. Bad staffing. With just one person in the kitchen. The owner I'm guessing. I could have forgiven the bad service but then the main dishes came. I had the Onion Roast with potato dumplings. There was N

I've been here twice and it's incredible food! The owner/chef grew up in Austria and her food tastes homemade. The decor is a little different and the locations could be better, but her cooking really makes up for it and you just don't care about the other two. Second time I was there, the server's car broke down so the owner was alone to work the kitchen and house. She was great and made sure everyone had a good experience while managing to cook the food. She came out and ta

The restaurant started 20 years ago in another location serving stuffed potatoes, moved, and broadened the menu.My wife and I have eaten here half a dozen times, it's one of the regular places we go to dinner. She often has specials but regularly on the menu is Hungarian goulash, weiner schnitzel, sauerbraten, bratwurst served with sauerkraut, pommes frites, and of course German beers and wines.

My sister is attending Humboldt university and my entire family came to move her in. We found this place after a good while of searching for a great dinner spot for 6. Little did we knew we'd stumble across this gem. The restaurant was small, but we were early in the evening so we were seated right away. If we were coming back, we'd make reservations! Our server was the lone front man of the restaurant and boy was he working his butt off. He was kind and attentive. We ordered some wine and our pours were exceedingly generous. But the real star was the quality of the food. One extremely talented woman in her 70s prepared all of our dinners. The portions were large and the flavor was phenomenal. Thanks for a great evening and many more to come in the next 4 years.

Lovely place to eat with Austrian specialties, including pastries. Always a good choice to get a potato with toppings, but many other dishes as well. Intimate setting, good service, and affordable too. We go here regularly.

This gem in the southern part of Eureka near the Mall does have stuffed potatoes on the menu but the real jewel is the large number of German dishes. Everything we ordered was wonderful and plan to revisit on our next trip to this area. I think it is the only German restaurant in the Arcata/Eureka area. The background music was a plus that provided a fitting compliment to a delicious dinner. German beers were also available.

Won't go there again. Food took 1 1/2 hr to come out. People that came in after us got and finished their food before we got ours. And when it finally came out mine was wrong. Waiter was good and kept trying to get ours out and just got yelled at by owner. Owner came out after and had bad attitude with us and was argumentative with us instead of trying to make thing better. Will not go back there
