Brian was quick and professional when he came out to set up my internet. He gave me a call to let me know when he would be here and he also put in upgraded parts in the home so that my WIFI connection is faster and more stable.

EDIT: This review is for the previous owner: “Suddenlink.” I’d give Optimum 4 or 5 stars ??Professional Liars via telephone, though “Robert Cummings, Supervisor” says he can’t control Humboldt “contract technicians” manipulating & misrepresenting reports of work:1) Service call made 11:03 pm July 11. Told tech will arrive “tomorrow” 8-12. No show.2) Called back July 12 at 12:12 pm to hear service is next day 8-12. No show.3) Called back & was told of False Report by local contract tech who knocked on the wrong house’s door and lied about trying to call me when I didn’t answer the door of the house that was not my address. I was assured by Suddenlink that tech would return TODAY and I’d get a call to confirm. All Lies!4) Called at 4:02 and was told there is no record of those details of my conversation and that my appointment had been rescheduled for July 15, four days after service request made. I waited to be connected to a “supervisor” but was cut off after I was told I was being connected (20 mins).5) I called back and waited again another 20 mins to be connected with Robert Cummings. He said Suddenlink has no control over the local contractors in my local area and whether or not they do their jobs or lie about doing their jobs, though was sympathetic and said he’s noted my account with his conversation so he can follow up on another no-show or false work report. I learned from him that Installation (which found me and wired me from the source!) is a different branch than the contract service techs.6) Waiting all day again on July 15 for Suddenlink - we’ll see...7) I supposed I can close my own front door now. I’d been leaving it ajar in anxious awaiting!*Monday morning the tech arrives and is lost, unable to find the actual line into my own dwelling, not the neighbors’ lines!*Turns out when my neighbors’ moved in last week, Suddenlink Installation CUT MY LINE and connected them to it!

I used to be somewhat happy with Optimum formerly known as Suddenlink. But this internet company has become increasingly more scammy. The cost of their unlimited internet is always increasing. No one can afford internet that constantly increases none stop. Why do new members get extreme discounts on their monthly bill and if you move the monthly bill gets extremely discounted while those who remain loyal or don’t move only get an ever increasingly high bill?
