They offer great rates, easy online and mobile banking, and great support. The mobile app is super convenient and easy to use, and their advice helped me when I needed it. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable and friendly financial institution!

These people are ludicrous.This is what the new requirement is for Free Rewards Checking:“Effective September 1, 2022, the monthly qualification cycle for Free Rewards Checking will begin on the first calendar day of the month and end on the last calendar day of the month. You must view your monthly statement by logging in to Online Banking or Mobile App by 7:00 p.m. on the last day of the qualification cycle to meet one of the qualification criteria.”What a petty way to find a excuse to refuse payment for using their customers’ money.Hey, a**holes, you’re using someone else’s money to make money. Stop being so greedy and mischievous. Have some decency.

We went through SCU for a HELOC and had a great experience working with Angelica. She consistently provided updates and always had the highest level of professionalism. The branch manager, Debbie was also very helpful during the process. We are appreciative of their guidance they provided and look forward to continue working with them.

After many years as a customer, Sacto CU, I see it going downhill. The fact that they are small and friendly has made up for it until now. $1,000 in fraudulent charges to my account. Their fraud alert did not catch it; their investigation dragged on until the dispute date for the vendor had long passed. The CU says it's between me and the vendor. The vendor can't find the charges. I'm out $1,000 and the CU did nothing. They are behind the times. Their internet is often down. I can't afford to be their customer anymore. I'm moving my account to a bigger CU. Beware.

I have banked at many different banks in the Sacramento area, I have found that Sac Credit Union to be the best. I have been a customer for many years and have never been disappointed in any aspect with this bank. I judge a bank on whether or not I have to think about it, with Sac Credit I dont have to think about it they just do it right. They are always helpful both on the phone or in person. I really like the alerts on my card usage and we have caught some unauthorized charges and stopped them before could effect my account. As long as I live in Sacramento I will never bank with anyone else. Sac Credit your the best, your people are the best and your doing banking the right way. Sac Credit a bank you dont have to think about.

I have been a customer of this credit union on and off since moving to Sacramento in 2000. I am really surprised to see all of the one-star ratings. For one thing, this credit union has great loan rates. Granted they are a little behind the times in some areas, such as they don't offer lines of credit as overdraft options like most of their local credit union counterparts do. But, I have had car loans, mortgages, savings, checking, and trust accounts for my kids here, and in almost every situation and with every transaction I have had really good service. There was a manager here, who another review mentioned by name, who I agree was not the best at customer service. He is no longer there, so in recent times I've had only good experiences at the downtown branch. Some of the up-sides: different investment options such as money market accounts, great interest rates on checking accounts, and their overdraft fees are actually quite a bit lower than other banks and CU's in the area. Oh, one of the best things I've encountered is the great fraud protection. I've had several instances of ATM fraud and not only has the fraud protection service contact me immediately, the bank also credits me back anything that was charged/deducted due to fraud that day or the next. That, folks, is also hard to find as I've encountered many people with other banks who complain they have to go through a weeks-long process to get the money back. Plus if you use an out of network ATM that charges fees you get those back too. I am a fan and still recommend Sacramento Credit Union to friends and family.

I have never encountered worse customer service in my life. I am trying to find time to go close my account cause every time I go there I feel violated by ignorance and rudeness of their employees. This is 800 H street location I am referring to.

Hello folks I was 1st a member in 1990 subsequently I moved to different job and closed my account. I came back last year and was delighted that it has the same feeling of that small time bank that delivers excellent customer service. I like their leader at the helm he is really shrewd and it's a good profit sharing. The people make money at this little bank. I strongly recommend SCU

I was with Sacramento credit Union for several years and 3 times they put my account in dormant without a warning. It took me several months to get an atm card and when I finally received one and went to use it I was denied for lack of funds when I had over $28,000. I went in the next day and closed my account. The girl that handled my transaction was very nice, too bad the credit union itself isn't.
