Very friendly staff that went above and beyond to help me when my insurance card didn’t have all the information printed on it. They could have sent me home to contact the insurance about the missing information but they didn’t. They took the time to call the insurance company for me to get the information needed and let me pick up my prescriptions.I was using CVS pharmacy and they couldn’t get one of my medications in the liquid form the doctor ordered. CVS told me it wasn’t available in liquid any longer. Safeway had no problem getting it ordered and ready for pickup the next day.There can be a line of 3 - 6 people at times but it doesn’t usually take long. You can always use the time to grab any groceries you need. They will allow you to check out a few groceries items with your prescriptions.The pharmacy is open till 8pm and I like that they have a more private area to get vaccines done. I’m so glad I switched from CVS to Safeway.

Darla is an absolute lifesaver!!!! I could not get my doctor to respond about my refill for 4 days. She called and faxed and did everything she could to get a response. Within an hour I had my prescriptions. She is an angel! Safeway is lucky to have her.

If I could give it a 0 star I would. I bought some tres leche cake and it was dry like a sponge. $4 for half a slice of dry sponge? No thank you.

This is my all time favorite Safeway location! I love that they close late and shopping is always a great experience here. I also love the newly added self checkout area! The Starbucks is also very convenient as there is usually a much short line than the one across the street!

The sandwich deli at this safeway is a nightmare. There was a single person in line ahead of me, getting 2 sandwiches. I also needed 2 sandwiches. I was there for 45 minutes. Explain to me how it takes 45 minutes to make 4 sandwhiches! God forbid you need sandwich meat cut or to get a hot food item because nobody is ever going to help you. You'll see 3 employees behind the counter and you might assume you'd be helped quickly with all those people there, but you'd be wrong. I will never try to get anything from the deli again.

I just ordered a sandwich from the deli and Im not sure who made it (some younger lady around 1 pm) but this was by far the best sandwich I've ever ordered from there. And she didn't give me an attitude because i asked for extra stuff.

They have been remodeling the store forever, which makes everything there hard to find. But I could live with that. Because I shop there enough, I kinda know where things are even if they're not in the right spot. My problem is when I got to the checkout line, Paul was the checker in aisle two, and the two women in front of me were talking about how they have Covid IN THEIR HOMES right now. Not being raised by wolves, I asked him to clean the belt because I did not want to have Covid infected groceries. But Paul refused, with Stephanie the manager standing right beside him. Let's skip ahead. Do you really think I would recommend somebody go into this typhoid infected cesspool of germs if they refuse to clean their belts after a customer admits they have Covid?!?

The service here continues to be poor. During checkout an item wouldn't ring up. He called for help but didn't get it. He completed my checkout then expected me to go to customer service after waiting in Line and paying for my groceries.Lazy. When I told him to forget it Noah made a snide comment under his mask WHICH I DID HEAR then said have a nice day in a condescending way. This is just an example of the service that has been going on awhile. I'm all done here. I will shop at the near by Raleys

the pharmacy here is GARBAGE. their hours are incredibly limited for someone who works full time, the pharmacists almost specialize in not having customer relations, and when i needed medication that's necessary to my day to day life, they told me basically too bad and to come back tomorrow. some people can't afford to wait to get their medication, and i'm one of those people. i hate this f****** place and i'm changing where i get refills ASAP

Food great but pharmacy unreliable. Yesterday I walked in for a flu shot and because I'm fighting cancer, the pharmacy tech asked if I wanted my Pfizer booster. I said yes and was in and out. No problem. Today my 76 year old husband went in to get a booster and was turned away by another tech saying he couldn't have one. So we went to a different Safeway in Folsom and he got his booster no problem. There should be better consistency and a nasty pharmacy tech should not be a barrier.

Mainly because they don't have good systems in place. When you enter your phone number for your rewards account it does not show a name (just a first name would be enough and wouldn't be a security issue) and simply acknowledges the phone number was entered. Yes, this is the fault of my memory, but I entered my cell and that's not the phone number on our rewards account (under my wife's number). The rewards didn't show up. I was using the self-checkout, which I usually do wherever I go without problems. The lady came over and entered a discount so I got the sale price. I voided one item and she cleared that, too, so I could check out. I didn't see until I got home that I was still charged for the item I didn't get. I had to go back and went to customer service. I showed my receipt and explained what happened. She was holding my receipt and said I should get $2 back. I knew it was supposed to be just over $2, but I didn't want to argue about it. When she gave me the money and the receipt back I saw the amount of $2.25 for the item I didn't get was very clearly printed on the receipt! Why did she only give me $2, especially when I had to make a special trip to get the refund? She should have offered me $3 or $5 or something for the fact I had to return because I was overcharged!! Go here if you have rewards or something else that makes it worthwhile by saving money.
