Safeway is a friendly and convenient neighborhood grocery store located at 5450 Dewey Dr in Fair Oaks, CA, near Madison and Greenback roads. It is open late with plenty of parking. The store is nicely stocked, clean, and considered one of the best for daily shopping, offering fresh goods and the finest varieties. It features a great bakery with customizable cakes, cupcakes, tasty bao buns, donuts, and bagels. The deli offers a variety of party trays, made-to-order items, and special sections for all kinds of salads and fresh sushi. There is a Starbucks inside and a floral department. The in-store pharmacy is helpful and offers immunizations. For convenience, services include Order Ahead pick-up for bakery items, Grocery Delivery, and DriveUp & Go™. The staff is very friendly and helpful, with attentive service at the self-checkout registers. While there was once a cozy place with tables to sit and eat both inside and outside, that area has changed. The store remains cleaner and nicer than other stores of the same brand.
Cannot find better meat, outside of an actual Butcher's meat shop. Expensive, but, well worth it. I shoppped Safeways for years, out of town, due to their convenience of always being the closest grocery store to our job sites. Even our 5 jobs in Hawaii, we went to Safeway for meat, veggies, and beers.

Great location with deals on food if you know what to look for. The fuel rewards are especially convenient considering the current economy.
