Charming store that I fell in love with! Great for one-of-a-kind gifts. A magical place fill of treasures that delight both the eyes and senses. Something for everyone: handmade jewelry, sensual, comfy yoga clothes, to soaps, kitchenware, and earthy toys, and ornaments. A treasure trove of Earthly Delights.

I love this shop! Everything is Fairtrade. The vibes are very chill and peaceful. It's a place of calm and a safe haven among the chaos of every day life. It is a place lost in a time and space like no where else! The workers are all kind, friendly, and understanding individuals.

The Herban Garden is not your run of the mill fair trade shop-sure it has all ethically sourced items but the depth of what they offer far surpasses other shops of that genre. Their home goods and beauty sections are high quality and one-of-a-kind. They also feature crystals, jewelry and clothing. I didn't get a chance to check out prices. Seems to be a popular spot in downtown Fairfax and a perfect compliment to the locally owned businesses. Definitely need to stop back and spend more time (it was getting near closing time and I had a few other stops in town.)

Probably my favorite store in all of Marin County! An awesome selection of fair trade, sustainably sourced clothing, beauty products, and home goods. Pretty pricey, but you always feel good about what you're buying, and the clothing is such good quality.

My favorite store I’ve been to on the West coast. Fair priced (affordable, inexpensive) for top quality products. I loved the bed spread quilts the most!

Great shop with a great variety of items. I really love the stuff! However, I came specifically to Fairfax for this store today which supposedly opens at 11. It's now 11:30 and it's still not open. Myself and 5 others have been waiting out front since 11 and have now given up. Please keep your posted hours so people aren't coming here for your store and not being able to rely on your posted hours. Not cool.

Every town needs a little shop like The Herban Garden. Baby gifts, hostess gifts, birthday gifts can all be found at this well curated shop with unique items ranging from fair trade clothing, jewelry, bedding, kitchen & home goods. All of the employees are extremely friendly and take the time to help you find what you need. For example, around October I was looking for felted woodland creature ornaments I had seen in their shop the year prior - they didn't have any in stock but had me write down my request. A month later I received a call saying they had them in stock for the holidays and set some aside for me.

This store is filled with 100% authentic, sustainable, hand crafted treasures from around the globe. There are so many unique, beautiful, hand crafted items in this shop, that I could (and do) get lost for hours in it. Not only are the products they carry beautiful and hand crafted, but each one has it's own special story to tell. From handcrafted Nepalese wool booties, which proceeds go to helping preserve the endangered snow leopards, to hand made bra straps made from antique Japanese kimonos. If you are shopping for a gift for a friend or just want something special for yourself, this is a wonderful and ethical place to spend your money.

When visiting Fairfax, this is one shop you don't want to miss. Anything you buy there, you know there's a good story behind it. The owners hand select all items that they sell, and you can tell how great the quality is. And really, you get what you pay for... Prices here aren't cheap, but when you consider what you're buying (the quality, the workmanship, etc) and of course the modest markup for business expenses, I think it's fair. I love looking through the children's section in the back with all the sweet little baby items or wooden toys. Soft & organic fabrics, essential oils, home decor... You just never know what you will find. I wish there were more shops like this one around Marin.
