Yep, closed again when I dropped by! Kinda frustrating that they don’t have real hours. It’s 3:30 and they are supposed to be open until 5. I guess they are having a hard time getting enough volunteers to run their shop, too bad!

Actually a pretty good little thrift shop, associated with the nearby church of the same name. Not a big selection; and as with most thrift stores, you need to visit often to find donated designer clothing selling at pennies on the dollar.

Despite clearly posted hours, no-one showed up to open the store. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me. The one time I was able to get in, the merchandise was nice, but a bit pricey for a thrift store. Mostly small antiques and adult clothes.

Looks like a great stop but they are closed during hours listed - so don't go out of your way. Call to see if anyone is actually there. Hours of operation are random.

Great thrift store serving the greater Fairfax community. Great deals and amazing finds. Clothes, housewares, jewelry and collectibles. All volunteer helpful staff.

A great local thrift shop. Funky? Yes -it's Fairfax! Of course it's quirky - that's a good thing. Overpriced? Rubbish - it's priced right, IMO. Just be thankful more people don't know about this place or it would be packed to the gills on weekends.

The Second Collection Thrift Store is unique and wonderful. Myself as well as many others who shop at this great thrift store become "friends" with their all volunteer staff. I love going in, not having any particular purchase in mind and finding great stuff from clothing to books or kitchen and furniture items. I have even negotiated prices! This is a welcome store in this county of Marin. I have shopped Tiburon, San Rafael, and San Francisco thrift stores - I mean why pay more? - The Second Collection is one of a kind and the best. Local 2nd hand fashionable dealers shop this store to stock theirs! My only beef is the name of the store - The Second Collection. Should be called The First Choice. Go...

Lots of jewelry but why does it have to be so overpriced? Some of it sits in the case for months and months. Why not price it for a quick sale so as to benefit the church sooner than never? Items are also inconsistently priced. Just because an item is "very old" or contains rhinestones doesn't mean it is valuable.

This little thrift store has an adequate selection of items, but I've never found any gems here. And their pricing is all over the map (if the map doesn't include "cheap"). Some items are what I consider to be normal/reasonable thrift-store prices, but others are inexplicably high--eg ordinary cotton baby onesies for $6 (as opposed to $0.50-$1.00 as they are at most thrift shops). Overall it's worth a quick peek if you're passing by, but not worth going out of your way for.
