Alicia, Food and Beverage Manager will make your dining experience miserable and sad. We just had on on the Thanksgiving. Never will visit Aquaterra again.

We booked a tee time over the phone and at no point were we informed our the extremely poor condition of the course. When we arrived we were shocked to find that it was cart path only, the greens were punched and the fairways had inches of standing water. Despite this we were charged over $ 100 per person , including our two juniors. We politely explained the condition of the course did not justify that high fee, only to be met with rude unprofessional behavior . The staff basically shrugged it off and said we should have known about the confusion because it was listed on the website. What they should Have done is apologized for not communicating the conditions over the phone like any self respecting course would do . We have played this course many times of the years and it's clear the change in ownership has created a culture that prioritizes money over reputation and customer satisfaction. This experience left us frustrated and disappointed we will not be returning

My husband and I got married here and it was absolutely beautiful. The venue is gorgeous and looks just like the photos. There are plenty of beautiful backdrops for taking photos. We had our ceremony in the garden pavilion and it was absolutely magical. The food and service was excellent, and the whole event ran extremely smoothly. Our on-site coordinator Traillan was extremely lovely to work with. She was very responsive to any questions we had as well as accommodating to any requests we wanted. I highly recommend this location for a wedding!!

Beautiful place a little outdated but elegant and pretty. Good food and wonderful view of the golf course, also great for wedding or enjoying a glass of wine at the cozy winery!

If you're considering Pala Mesa for your wedding venue... DO IT. My husband and I just got married this past weekend and it was absolutely perfect. I can't think of a better word. The grounds are beautiful and well kept, the scenery is unbeatable. With the opulent pergola at the ceremony site, 2 massive waterfalls as backdrops, reception space was stunning with chandeliers and beautiful uplighting. Tons of locations for beautiful pictures. I could go on forever. We had guests coming up to us telling us how beautiful the venue was and how blown away they were. They said they can absolutely see why we would choose this place. Staff was phenomenal. We couldn't have asked for a better team of people to help make our day flawless. Autumn was our venue coordinator, she was so excellent communicating with us on every question we had. Immediate replies, so kind and so supportive. She had an answer for every question and solution for any "problem" we ran into. She went above and beyond to make it the wedding of our dreams. I really can't even describe how wonderful and stress free she made the experience of planning. Something that really stood out to us was that we really wanted an opulent charcuterie grazing table for cocktail hour. And when I tell you they smashed it out of the park I mean it. This thing was incredible. They went out of their way to hire a whole separate team to make it for us and make the vision come to life. It was MASSIVE. Even bigger than we thought it was going to be which completely blew us away and showed just how much it mattered to them that our vision came true. Traillan was the catering manager in charge of food and WOW. She also was so amazing. She again was so communicative and made sure everything was perfect for us. She was so kind and attentive and on top of it all. We again had MULTIPLE guests come up to us all night and say that this was the best food they've ever eaten at a wedding, and same for our rehearsal dinner. Mae was also incredible, 90% of our guests were out of town. We needed some of the older guests to be closer to the ceremony site in handicap accessible rooms and she made it happen no problem. We had to switch a few names around, add rooms, take away rooms and she took it all in stride. It was so helpful and meant so much that she went out of her way to make our guests comfortable. We also had all our guests comment on how nice the rooms were. Updated, clean, and beautiful. They also had a Bridal suite to use to get ready that was incredible, tons of space, makeup and hair vanities, floor length mirrors, refrigerator for champagne and food, bathroom. It was everything you could ever need. The whole wedding went off without a hitch. I ran into both Traillan and Autumn the day of and they were so kind and so happy for us. We constantly saw them putting in work behind the scenes helping our coordinator. Which showed just how much they cared and effort they put into each wedding. All in all this was the best wedding and wedding planning experience we could have ever dreamed of. I don't think we could have done it if not for the help, attentiveness and attention to detail of the whole staff.

Stayed here very recently and this review is just for the resort/hotel/food as I did not golf though my 19 year old son did play 18 holes during a charity tournament and thought the course was just ok. The resort is older and has more of a camping/cabin/outdoorsy feel to it but our room was nicely remodeled and very modern. However, the slider door to the outside patio was not working correctly, the lock was broken and the fixed part of the slider window had a large gap in it that let in wind and bugs. There were also lots of ants. If you leave any food out, you will attract the ants in short order. No bueno! Also, the pool was shut down. The bed was very nice, as was the shower/bathroom. Everything was clean. Nice big TV and large mini-fridge. Fancy coffee-maker. No room service, you have to go pick up your food. The on-site restaurant has good food, though it's a bit expensive. On site snack shack also was good for breakfast. Staff was friendly/helpful, no problems there. They allow dogs but charge a $75 extra fee for that. Plenty of parking.

We've stayed at this resort for years, and have been impressed by the recent complete renovation of the rooms and surrounding railings. The beds and bedding were top dollar. Our family reunion of 50 people went without a hitch. Out golfers pronounced the golf course to be in excellent shape. Very good snack shop by the pro shop had a nice breakfast and lunch menu. The hotel restaurant continues to have very good food and an attentive wait staff. Our nightly dinners were catered and arranged by Traillan Struthers, the event and catering manager, who did a great job for us. The staff was very accommodating for all our needs. As the pool was unusable, arrangements were made for us to use the Pala Casino pool, which was a big plus. We also arranged to play pickle ball on the local courts. And don't forget there's a winery on the property with fine wine being produced. All in all, a very successful reunion. And what's not to like about Fallbrook?

Disappointing Experience at Pala Mesa Golf Resort I recently stayed at Pala Mesa Golf Resort, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the key issues I encountered: Safety Concerns: The sliding patio door in my room was broken, which made me feel unsafe. It's essential for guests to have secure accommodations, and this was a major letdown. Billing Problems: To make matters worse, the resort charged my credit card three separate times. Not only was this inconvenient, but it also caused unnecessary stress during my stay. Unhelpful Staff: Despite my concerns, the staff was completely rude and uncooperative. When I decided to cut my stay short due to the broken door, they refused to refund my card and even charged me for nights I didn't stay. Overall, I cannot recommend Pala Mesa Golf Resort based on my experience. I hope they address these issues promptly to improve their service for future guests.

The course had a major upgrade and is in great shape, lush and green with new sand in the bunkers. They're offering a $49 rate after 3:00 thru July, and I hope others try it so it is continued. The course plays long so if you're between two tee ratings I'd suggest the shorter option. Its a very interesting layout and challenging, but is laid out so there's no huge distances between holes. Carts are included but it is walkable - I did so a few years ago, but not now at 80!

GOOD: Nice grounds, good food in the restaurant. BAD: Room AC didn't work either day I was there and of course it was the hottest two days this year. My room averaged 84 degrees before they brought me a fan, which did help. Staff would have received 5 stars except that when I complained to speak with management, the desk clerk assured me the manager would contact me, but no one did. I think the management was waiting me out, due to the fact I was leaving early the next morning. Problem solved. Pool was empty with overgrown weeds and vegetation all around. The AC and grounds' issues were ongoing, something they could have told me before I spent premium money for a lack of services.

Workers here are absolutely terrible. We saw a golf worker (Chris) taking pictures of other workers and people. (Not an official photographer for no special event) It felt creepy and disgusting. The golf cart management needs to be fixed. There aren't many golf carts which of many were broken. Disrespectful and creepy employees, not many golf carts.

Some things do get better with age. Pala Mesa is one of those things. We've been going there for many years. The golf course has never been better, the rooms are much improved and the entire staff was great. When I read some of the poor reviews on their Yelp page, I wonder if they are speaking about the same place I just left. Maybe these folks are just looking for compensation or just whiners. Complaining about the green fees? Are you serious? They probably play golf that features clown's mouths and miniature windmills. The food is also much improved. The prime rib special on Thursday was great! Thank you, Mary and Ariana and the rest of the restaurant crew as well as the pro shop and snack shop for the kind and patient service. Treatment like a private country club. See you in July! Keep up the good work! Dave Before we left today, we made reservations for July and August. We're passing on Pelican Hill to go here away from the rat race of Newport and the over priced golf and accommodations.
