I love this store! Laura is really sweet and helpful. I found the perfect boots for my riding lessons and a helmet! I will definitely recommend and be back for more things:)

I got the best saddle here for a crazy good price. Friendly and helpful staff/volunteers. Good selection and great prices. Plus, the money goes to a wonderful therapeutic riding program.

A great place for used horse gear! Be prepared to dig for what you’re looking for. Note that the hours listed on google for the tack shack are inaccurate.

My grand daughter takes horse therapy classes there and their staff, some handicapped themselves do work well with their clients. Plus I get to talk to and pet horses.

I left my saddle on consignment in October 2017. I was never told that it sold...I happened to ask when I stopped in for something else in spring 2018. I was told it sold for a little over $500, but the paper work was in the wrong binder so they would leave it for the owner to call me. I never heard back. I have since called at least once a month and am always told the same thing, "the paperwork is in the owner's office and she isn't in, but they will leave my name and phone number for her to call". I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN A CALL BACK. A sales associate told me that if someone doesn't pick up their money after their item sells within a year they forfeit the profit to the store. I have tried to call repeatedly with no call back from the owner. I am worried she will claim it has been over a year and not give me my money. I feel as though they have taken advantage of me and stolen from me. As a social worker in Denver $500+ is a lot of money. DO NOT TRUST THEM.

After I received MANY recommendations, I decided to check REINS out. It was such a cool little shop with so many great finds! I walked out of there with everything I needed (and more) without breaking the bank. And to top it off, all the proceeds go to such a great cause! I am very impressed, and I will definitely be a future customer!

Oh what a great place, a real gem for Cowgirls and Cowboys looking for some gently used tack, clothes, saddles, bits, & boots. My niece and I found some really great finds. Bridle, saddle & beautiful set of reins. The Tack Shack has been around for years on the property of REINS Therapeutic Horsemanship. Barbara started & grew the Tack Shack over the years into this local tack shop of used donated items from very generous donators. With great prices & a great selection you will find a few things you need to start your tack collection or pick up a must needed addition to your supplies. Be sure & tell your friends about the Tack Shack & tell Barbara you found them on Yelp. From their website: About the Tack Shack REINS Tack Shack is a thrift store full of horse equipment and apparel. The store has a wide variety of used clothing, Western and English tack, horse care products, blankets, wraps, books, gifts, and more! Located: 4461 S. Mission Road, Fallbrook, CA 92028 Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 11:00AM-4:00PM Email:
[email protected] Direct Line: 760-723-1590 History In 1999 we found ourselves brimming with tack donations for our therapeutic riding lessons. We had so many donations that we could not use them all. We decided to open up a used tack store. In a little 10 x 10 Storage shed (that was really more of a shack) we opened up one day a week to resell all the generous donations we could not use. In 2002 we built a new building for our store. Because of its humble beginning we named it the Tack Shack. Today the Tack Shack is open five days a week and is run with the help of volunteers. Barbara Larsen is the Manager, taking care of the planning and inventory of the Tack Shack. We have customers from all over Southern California and donations from as far as Minnesota. All proceeds from the Tack Shack go directly to REINS and our students.
