“I really wanted a burl coffee table made of redwood and ‘virtually’ stumbled across this place after many hours of looking at different Bay Area businesses online. On a Sunday afternoon, I called and left a message, and they returned my call the same day to confirm they had a few coffee tables I could look at. They mentioned they usually close around 5pm but would stay open since they knew I was coming down.So I drove down, parked on the street in front of the business (house across from the high school) and walked in. Inside there were sculptures, animal figurines, wall clocks, bowls, plates, and lot of other things - all made of redwood.Of course there were several tables made of redwood, all very reasonably priced compared to other Bay Area redwood table makers. They mentioned they had over 50 years of experience with table making and their beautiful work backs up that claim. The owner Norma and her daughter Nancy were absolutely wonderful to talk to and made the whole experience terrific.”

“I love this gallery. The director is both inclusive and discerning. She affords beginning artists the opportunity to show with some of Santa Cruz’s best. The gallery is often divided in two with movable walls creating two very separate art spaces using invited guest curators. She also hosts drawing salons, art meet ups, community exhibits and divergent art happenings including PIVOT bringing art and fashion together with custom tailored events and innovative collaborations. The gallery's First Fridays are not to be missed. Melissa Kreisa is a gift to our art community.”

“This is the best store! Go here for anything from home goods, holiday gifts, to handmade jewelry. I like it best for owner Cierra’s earrings and necklaces but also for when I need a gift and don’t know what to buy. I always stop in last minute and they help me find what I didn’t know I was looking for, gift wrap it beautifully, and send me on my way looking like I planned ahead :)”

“We went to Tannery Art Center in Santa Cruz. There are numerous outdoor art exhibits to see. There are also studios. There is also a café. This used to be a place where they made leather. Thus the name Tannery Arts. There are some historic leather making equipment on site to also see. There are signs to describe it. There is an exercise facility with a full range of classes to take. Artists and probably others can also live there at the condos. There is also a theater which has live theater shows on Thursday - Sunday nights. There is a calendar of the shows for the season.”

“The newly opened space at 123 Locust is yet another amazing addition to the Cedar Street art and food scene. Located between Art du Jour and The Red Room, Gabriela's Cafe and The Penny Ice Creamery it's like a deelicious loop of art, food and more art. This past First Friday showcased the entire Leeds family body of work- all brilliant, plus surf boards that look and function as art and the large scale figurative work as an opening salvo for Marc and Noah Gould. It's such a welcome addition to this already uber vibrant block of Cedar and Locust.”

“super cute art store in the heart of capitola... my friends and i stopped by en route to the beach and loved what we saw here, lots of custom greeting cards, paintings by local artists, mugs, jewelry and clothing branded with capitola. some of the actual artwork was very unique, symbols and things that i hadn't seen in other art stores. the ladies working there were super sweet, very friendly. hours are a little limited though, they only open wednesday - sunday, 11.00-17.00 (closed on monday & tuesday). as far as parking, there is limited street parking, but your best bet is to park in the city parking lot about a block away.”

“I first saw their work at Sierra Azul nursery Later I also saw them at the Palo Alto Ceramics and Glass art show that is held every July. I am in love with their glassblown flowers and the way they put them together. I bought the mid range size for the front of my yard and could not be more happy!! It is one of my very favorite pieces in the yard. The colors are beautiful and so is the way that they have arranged them on the base, to make a giant bouquet At night when the lights shine on it, it is magnificent. I get so many compliments on this piece from all that visits us!! The artists are wonderful, accommodating people, and they stand by their work.”
