The Lodge was overall above average in location and service. However they were a little short in their selling of onsite activities. I was there in July, and wanted to sign up for activities such as Yoga and glass blowing. On the website, and other informational sheets, the glass blowing activity showed it was available for Mondays, however when I called to sign up I was told classes are no longer held on Mondays. Also the yoga classes are only a couple of days a week! I was surprised as July is peak season, and they don’t seem to be prepare or care about their guests. Or update their website!

It was really good, very near of the park. Excellent the pool area and the activities for kids.

A deeply disappointing experience, despite high expectations.
The core issue lies in the team: mostly Gen Z staff with an unprofessional attitude — detached, condescending, and visibly uninterested. There’s a general lack of hospitality culture. Every interaction felt like we were disturbing them.
The service was chaotic. Food arrived late and cold. At one point, four glasses of water were spilled on us — the person serving wasn’t even a trained waiter (blue shirt, not grey, as per their own system). Basic organization and accountability were clearly missing.
At lunch, I waited over 15 minutes for a table while several staff members stood around chatting and laughing at the Starbucks next door — fully aware I was waiting, and doing nothing.
The rooms themselves are underwhelming — far from the aesthetic or atmosphere promised. The potential is there, but it’s entirely undermined by poor staffing and weak management.
We’ve previously stayed at Under Canvas locations in Grand Canyon and Zion — both were significantly better. As seasoned travelers, this unfortunately stands out as a cautionary tale, not a recommendation.
Ps: Mark and Greg at the restaurant are the only ones that are pros and nice

Loved it; the location closed to Yosemite; the amenities are great

We stopped in one of the cottages to allow us to explore Yosemite.
The room was great. The main buildings were an easy walk away.
We didn't use the pools as they were packed with kids.
Parking was free and the on-site restaurant served good breakfasts and dinners.
Top tip get out early to avoid queueing at the park entrance.

Tenaya was truly a gem. The staff was always very forthcoming, friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom had loads of toiletries and our little patio was darling.
We were able to enjoy dinner and breakfast at Jackalopes for most of our stay, and Timberloft pizzareia. We hoped to try the BBQ, but there was a special event (looked fun though). Food was always delicious, our kids really enjoyed their meal choices (great options for kids). As for the pizzeria, we went really late and wouldn't you know it they ran out of pizza! We kept seeing people leave with 4, 6 boxes... So it was obviously a favorite among others. When we ordered an alternative, the pasta we wanted for our girls was all out, the Lori the manager bless her heart bent over backwards to accommodate us. We were able to get the cauliflower crust pizza for the kiddos and they had no clue! They said it was the best they ever had (hallelujah). Our food was yummy, as was the wine and as an added bonus Lori gave us some dessert and a discount. Thank you Lori for being such a sweetheart and providing us great service.
Tenaya had so many activities, and we loved that they offered two schedules (morning and late afternoon). Giving everyone the opportunity to go and enjoy, e.g., archery, rock climbing, a hike (evening hike too), star gazing, gold panning, indoor movie nights at the pool, glass blowing, mountain bike rentals... We ourselves enjoyed the pools, movie night, game room (right beside indoor pool) perfectly situated, archery. rock climbing and the hike. Our kids did not want to leave!!
We also booked the 360 Yosemite tour, Ethan our tour guide was so great. Interesting facts, took us to some cool spots to pick wild gooseberries and raspberries, panned for gold at a river, provided us with lunch and drinks during our tour, shared beautiful nature spots and photo ops. We had a wonderful time and our kids just adored him, he was great with the kids that were on the tour and made time to chat with the adults.
Overall Tenaya was above any expectation we had, it may be a bit pricey but considering everything it has to offer, the setting its just right and well worth it. We will be back!!
P.S. I almost forgot Tenaya offers complimentary ingredients to make smores, there are fir pits around the property and you can make smore till your heart is content. Along with some fun games throughout the property and in the lobby. Like I said its a gem.

MAGICAL PLACE! Gorgeous setting, family-friendly, fun & relaxing blend. Perfect getaway. When we had a slight issue with one thing, Conor helped saved the evening! Can't wait to get back to the TENAYA. Absolutely LOVED IT!!!

We loved our visit here! Over the top service from staff, gorgeous facility and comfortable and relaxing stay. Highlights were the adult only pool, spa, biking trails, and its proximity to Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point. Everything was lovely and perfect ~ a refreshing stay.

Spent a night before visiting Yosemite. Place offers a lot of amenities, activities and food options. Rooms were spatious and clean. Only downside is the very high price and the somewhat unwelcoming staff. Had a bad experience at the inhouse Starbucks where the server was rude, grumpy and standoffish for no aparent reason. Guess everyone has a bad day once in a while.

Beautiful Lodge with SO many amenities and food options!! Our room was spacious, clean and had a beautiful view of the courtyard and pool. All the staff were super friendly and helpful! Even had laundry room that was free! Only had to pay for laundry detergent if you didn’t bring it. Amazing location to Yosemite national Park, only took 7-8 minutes to get to the south entrance. Would highly recommend this place and would love to come back and stay again!!

I'll tell you hwhat, pretty darn tough to find a good massage around here, both at Tenaya and in the Yosemite Valley vicinity, despite the information provided to me that there are supposedly masseuses available.

We had a wonderful vacation at Tenaya Lodge last week. The amenities were a big hit for the little ones and adults alike. The climbing wall, bicycle riding, archery and the salt water pool were very much appreciated. The evening ambiance was also great, with three fire pits and live music, not too loud. We also enjoyed the flavored water. I had a little
disappointment about the pickleball court, it should not be advertised until it is functional. I regret carrying my paddle and ball, I could have used that space in my suitcase for something else. But overall Tenaya is a great vacation place and we hope to go again soon.

We had a fantastic overall experience at Tenaya Lodge. We stayed in the cabins, which were exactly perfect for our little family. Staff was friendly and helpful with our needs and we had several excellent meals. Do the barbecue if it’s available for sure! All the activities at the lodge were also incredible. Archery, panning for gold, and climbing were a huge hit for my son. The pool area was a bit small for the guest load when we were there and so that part wasn’t quite what we had hoped and our rooms did have significant issues with the AC units leaking. Thankfully it wasn’t overly hot so we did without them without trouble. Location is about as close to the park entrance as you can get, though it is a bit of a drive to the main parking area of Yosemite FYI so plan for an early start in the morning for parking inside the park. Would definitely stay again.
