I needed to buy a high-end bottle of whiskey as a retirement gift. I know nothing about high-end whiskey and so I went to Bevmo to get some tips from the pros. I know nothing which, as it turned out, was way more than the Bevmo staff. Absolutely no help. I tried Google, but finally gave up and left. Drove about a mile and spent a ridiculous amount of money at a competitor's store.

Friendly staff makes buying booze easy. So many varieties of hooch to choose from. Reasonable prices too. Minus 1⭐️ for having to hand over my drivers license for some undetermined reason. Heck, I’m in my 70’s so I certainly look ? like I’m over 21 meeting the age requirements to purchase alcoholic beverages in California.

Good range of regional wines and selection of spirits. Easy parking and very convenient if staying at one of the 3 hotels nearby. If you're visiting from offshore, make sure you have your passport on you for ID, regardless of your "vintage"

They overprice everything bottle of Baker 7 year is $63 on sale regularly 72 I can get a bottle app total wine and more for $49 or get it a nugget market for 60 bucks. They jack up their prices a good 20% and so I won't shop there anymore I'll do business with total one and more and my local grocery stores at least I know I won't get ripped off BevMo sucks absolutely horrible horrible horrible horrible.

Nice place, very good selection of Bev's, cheese, and summer sausage. Staff was friendly and helpful. They saved me a little money, by signing me up with their rewards program....I'm going to make this my regular spot.

Today I ran into a dilema at this Bevmo store, and want to make sure everyone is aware of it. According to California law, if anyone is buying alcohol at any store, by law you are requied to show your ID. This one store wanted to scan my ID into their system, scanning an ID is so invasive, since they callect (Your full name, your age and your address). When I refused to let them scan it, they told me that they could not sell me all the liquor I had in the cart. I am 60 years old and refuse to have my id scanned for personal, and previous bad experieces. I asked for the manager, and she came out to also rudely deny the purchase. This is something other stores tried in Bay Area some years ago, and due to loss of revenue they changed and made it optional. I also wonder how they would scan out of state ids or passports? I am dissapointed that I wont be shopping at Bev mo anymore, but I am also glad that we have other options near by, Total wine, where they dont force you to scan your Ids. It was a total waste of my time, and perhaps they should have a big sign at the entrance saying "We wont sell to you if we dont scan your ID"
