Great prices, which is a consistent quality about Big 5. However, there was minimal selection for golf goods, but would be okay for a beginner. Yet the worst part is the customer service there. The associates were friendly upon arrival, but didn't guide us to the section we needed. Plus, at checkout, Eli wasn't extremely helpful and was chewing gum (something you just shouldn't do in a retail position). Great place, just needs more guidance from managers to increase their connectivity with their clients.

Very reasonable pricing on most things. Every employee there is helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. With the exception of Melonie. She acted like a manager so maybe she was. You can tell me I'm lying to you and you can't give me a military discount, even though the past 6 times I've shopped here (this week!) & every clerk has given it to me. I understand, even if I don't like it. But don't try to charge me more the posted price of the thing I'm buying, it's not legal. I wouldn't have a problem w it, honest mistake & all, but not apologizing & acting like you are doing me a favor to charge me the posted price is just bad customer service. I am giving a 5 star review because maybe I caught you on a bad day. You work in customer service. Maybe remember that.

We first went to Walmart out in that area and they did not have life jackets in stock. Went to Big 5 and they had plenty that were about the same price of the ones that they didn't have in stock at Walmart

Store doesnt even sell guns anymore. Ammo they do have is way over priced. They've got a bunch of bb guns on the wall behind the counter like theyre real.. joke of a store.

rode my bike 20 miles to get a nice set of binoculars. "You can't bring your bike in here!" "There is no bicycles allowed!". sorry I can't bring a bicycle into a "sports shop". not even mentioning I had to wait 10 minutes at the binocular section because nobody was there to open the counter. They sell the worst quality products as well. 0/10 would not recommend.

Terrible quality shoes and the store knows it
In December we bought a pair of waterproof hiking boots for my son in this store. In less than a month the shoes got holes on the sole.
We brought them to store. The store said that they won’t return the money back, only exchange the shoes.
I said that I don’t want to have another pair of such low quality shoes, and asked them whether they have more durable shoes. The store workers couldn’t offer anything more durable - they said they don’t know. Then I had to add more money to buy more expensive shoes in hope them being more durable.
In 2 weeks the second pair stopped to be waterproof, in 3 weeks it started to have the holes shown on the pictures. When we brought this pair back to the store, they said they won’t replace it because the shoes got holes after one month of wearing. So, you should know that this store sells one month shoes - they even don’t expect their shoes to handle more than a month. Be warned!
