4 months after this cut I FINALLY had enough length to go in for a trim at a different salon. Whatever massacre Liisa did to my hair is still around, some layers were so choppy there was nothing to do but continue to wait it out. If someone was doing your eyebrows and they ruined a chunk and didn't let you know you would request a refund, no? Never again.

Had my first cut since November just a few days ago. I've read in so many reviews that other people have a similar problem - they go to a stylist, get a great cut then go back a second time and get a terrible cut. I know we all have bad days, but that has been a constant theme in my hair cut experiences. My hair is curly, but kind of fine and light weight. I often straighten it. I prefer to have my hair cut after it's been straightened so that I can see it lay clean and even, and so that it looks good straight because when I wear it curly it does what it wants! Mary Ann did a stellar job!!!! She listened to me and explained things to me on a level I could understand, and she could tell I'm low maintenance with my hair so she did the straightening and cutting without any product - because in reality, how many of us have and properly use all those products that make our look amazing but unattainable???!! So I walked out of there with a great cut! Now - since then I've worn my hair curly and straight and it looks great both ways! She was such a joy to be around and did exactly what I asked while using her professional judgment. I can't get over how happy I am with my hair! Thank you Mary Ann!!! Also, the salon is super established, tucked in a quiet professional building, very clean and tasteful on the inside. Masks required. SUPER comfy chairs for when they wash your hair!

I had my 1st ever Devacut today with MaryAnn! Wow!! I had know idea how great my curls could look! She listened to my concerns and immediately made me feel at ease! She took her time and explained everything she was doing. After years of fighting my curls I'm finally learning to love them thanks to MaryAnn! I will definitely be back!

I had a horrible experience and played it off as okay the day of the haircut as to not insult the stylist. After a few days of consideration I realized it was helping no one in the long run. The following is the message I sent to the stylist to which I received no response... The lack of acknowledgment cements the fact I will never be returning. "I've been thinking about it the past few days and lying doesn't benefit anyone. If I'm being honest, I really don't love this haircut. As someone who specializes in cutting curly hair I'm a little shocked you didn't take into consideration or warn me about shrinkage before cutting a significant amount of hair off. It will grow back and that's fine, but I'm disappointed with the results for what I paid. "
