This shop installed a brake booster that was not needed in my car only to tell me it was actually the vacuum pump. Replaced that and a year later it broke and destroyed my engine. They only cover the part for 2 years. Of course labor would be charged and no coverage for damages caused by faulty installation. I changed the vacuum pump in 30mins. I was charged $312 in labor. I pulled the part myself and found multiple bolts loose, never trust these people. Unless you enjoy paying $10 a minute and a smug attitude from the owner.

I had a great experience with my SMOG test here! The service was very fast and efficient. Scheduling an appointment was easy, and when I needed to reschedule, it was handled without any issues. I really appreciate how smooth the whole process was. They also automatically send the report to the DMV, which makes everything even more convenient. Highly recommend this place!

Used to take my dad's Honda CRV there for service but quit after he died. They always did great work, but I took my car to the dealer for repairs. They always upsold hard, and I'd spend $1,200 when all I wanted was tires rotated. Went back to Folsom Autotech recently by making an easy online appointment because my dashboard light was on. I thought it might be something big at 104,000 miles, but I just needed an oil change. No hard upsell for additional preventive maintenance, which I appreciated. Didn't have to wait long for the shuttle service either trip. They've always done honest, excellent work. I'll be going back.

Do not take your car here. They charged me for parts that they did not install. when I called to resolve it, the manager got hostile and defensive, Blamed me for the problems and then blamed other shops that found the problems. then hung up on me. Rude, unprofessional.

I can not say enough about the team at Folsom Autotech. I have been coming here for over 10 years. They have provided us great advice and service extending the life of our cars. I truly feel they have always provided their service at a fair price and have never felt pushed to do more than what was needed or over charged. I have recommended them to all my family and friends who have also been very happy.

I have taken both my vehicles here in the last 2 to 3 years and have received nothing but top quality hands-down. Best service to this date. These guys know what they’re doing and it gets done right. I have worked with Ron several times on my vehicles and he’s honest and communicates well. Makes you feel comfortable for bringing your vehicle here. Always available to chat about issues or problems with your vehicles so he gets the full details about what might need to be done to your vehicles. It’s just a great experience to have a mechanic make you feel comfortable for bringing all of your vehicles to be repaired at their shop. Much recommended for anyone. This shop is TOP NOTCH. Thank you Bill for taking that extra step making sure that my car is dialed 100% you guys are awesome.
