I decided to write this review after the third incident of its kind at Goodwill, and twice now at this location. We went in and found a nice larger item in excellent condition but didn't have a price tag. I went to the front and a kind gentleman working the register called someone for a price check for the item. After about five minutes a female associate came up and I informed her that the item did not have a price tag. She went to the back and returned a few minutes later. She informed me that someone likely had the tag and would return to claim the item. Since our discussion was pretty much soon after the store opened I suggested that maybe the interested person was still in the store. She replied that she didn't know but she couldn't make an announcement asking someone if they had that ticket. I understand however they did and do use the P.A. system for other announcements even while I was shopping there today. The associate suggested that if I "left" and came back in an hour or two later I could see if the item was still available. I said, "Ok, so if I stay here and no one claims it with a ticket in hand in one hour I can buy it, correct?" And this is when I knew it was all a charade. She said, "Well, two or three hours." I reminded her that she had just told me one hour and she then changed it to "Well, closer to two hours. If it is still available closer to two hours, I will sell it to you." I said "Okay" and asked for a price. I was told it would be $19.99. I decided to wait to see if this imaginary NPC customer they were trying to protect would spawn in the store. She took the item and brought it back to where I found it, still without a price tag, so perhaps she can have the same awkward conversation with another irritable customer ten minutes later. Then, we saw her walk over immediately to another associate who was racking clothing and quietly said something to her. I can not say for certain what was said but can not help to think it was about the item. I went over and walked around the store with the item for about an hour and eleven minutes until finally I thought it was more than a reasonable amount of time. No one ever approached me about the item by the time I decided to walk to the register. It should be noted that the item is large and would have been noticed easily by anyone. I walked up and said, "I was told this is $19.99. I am paying cash." I handed him the money and he didn't even balk. As I was walking out, he turned and asked the manager whom he had minutes before called for assistance with a separate issue, "So is there a time limit on....?" You can finish the sentence. By the way, the manager was the same associate who was earlier racking clothing.
Change your policy! Fix your issues with the price tags. Allow every item on the floor to be sold, with price or not. Have the customer walk around with the item, or ask them to pay for it right away to avoid confusion. I would like to think that you are protecting the customer, but truth is there are other nefarious acts afoot. The least offending would be that sometimes the employee wants a donated item for themselves. Why not?! Things are expensive these days and if that is an employee perk then by all means. If so, don't even let the item hit the floor. Keep it in back out of view. The more darker truth may be that some of these items at some Goodwills (hopefully not here) may likely be resold by staff on platforms such as Craigslist, or in a stall at Denios on the weekend.
As a customer with cash in hand do not make me wait, and be clear on what I have to do to purchase an item. The last time I was told to come back in three hours when I asked for a price check at Marshall's, Ross, or Kohl's was never!

Place is organized, but prices are ridiculous. Prices are similar to buying something New that’s on sale from an actual store.

Came by for a donation and to check out the selection of items inside. Always a decent wait for a donation, I’ve had anywhere between a 1 hour wait and a 10 minute wait. Staff at donation area were amazing.Inside selection is best in Folsom. The place could use a nice cleaning. Prices are fairly high on some items, and they also will sell anything they can. Saw some items for sale that are literal trash or you can get for free from other places. Some staff inside were a bit loud and obnoxious. Other than that, no complaints. For local reviews or travel content, you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist

I was stalked by a guy in this store (10-11-17), he followed me when I left as I drove home. I had to call the cops and make a report. This place needs better surveillance!!!

My visit today was a confusing one and I was treated abruptly as if to be assisted and then altogether short, annoyed perhaps, and with rude contempt. With a large amount of clothes in the basket and before trying them on I made the mistake of going to house wares and so my cart was pretty full and I woman I would conclude later to be the manager came to observe my cart and I was like yes a lot but I need to try clothes on still. Acting helpful she called for someone to grab another cart so we could put the items in thatCart and get easier access to the clothes. But oddly cutting me off from getting the other cart and then rushing me into a fitting room where they would continue to help with the exchange of clothes and rush that as well.Unknown to the manager and the woman attending the fitting rooms because of a medical condition my weight has shifted up and down and one day I was an 8 and the next it was too small. So knowing what will fit has some extra challenges additionally I’m not used to my size and things don’t look flattering. So I had rejected 74% of what I had tried on up to the point I need to use the bathroom and could no longer safely hold it til I was done. Additionally, my time of the month was now. While I’m still sitting on the toilet dealing with cramps and bleeding and only a panyliner the fitting room attendant comes in to tell me I needed to hurry up and get going! Caught on gf guard and in pain I tried to communicate what wasGoing on but once again I was cut short as I heard her exit the bathroom. Astonished by the treatment but need to take care of more urgent things I told the attendant my predicament and that I needed to go to my car to get feminine products she said to tell the manager. Ok???… so I did and then the manger in a flippant manner and a snark on her face said so we can put away all the clothes then? Confused and trying to not bleed all over myself I said the ones I rejected. Now sitting in my car in pain and to exhausted to go throwPunches I’m writing the story of my experience and will go to the gas station to use the restroom.

If anyone is looking to work here at this location, don’t. The store manager is Christina and she likes to belittle her employees in front of everyone and call it “training”. This is suppose to be a equal opportunity company for people with disabilities and because she dont know how to manage her employees or help keep them on task, she just cuts their hours. What even makes worse is when you reach out to corporate, and explain how she creating a hostile work environment, belittling her employees and the district manager Eric will tell you to your face “if you don’t like your job you should quite” like in this day of time like it’s easy to find a job. End of story this company isn’t what they promote. No equal opportunity, no opportunity to growth if the “company” or “store manager” don’t like you. End of story don’t work at or for this company
