I returned a vehicle here yesterday. The service provided by the young lady in the front desk was fantastic. She was everything you can expect from a business representative. She was welcoming, listened, asked good questions, answered my questions, provided fast service and SMILED. If I were an auditor/mystery shopper, she would get an A+ !!!!!!

I rented a car from this Hertz location and it smelled strongly of cigarettes from the moment I picked it up. I let the woman at the counter know immediately, and she said she would call me as soon as another sedan became available so I could swap it out. That call never came—not during the entire 10 days I had the car. I tried to call the location myself on the first day but couldn’t reach anyone.
I’m a non-smoker and a mother of three, one of whom has asthma. All of my kids had to sit in that car every day, and now their car seats and pillows reek of cigarette smoke. I ended up cleaning the interior myself with Lysol wipes to try to make it tolerable, but the smell lingered—especially in the heat, since the car was black.
To make things worse, when I returned the car, the employee barely acknowledged me. She rushed me out the door because there was a line and didn’t ask if I had any issues or if anything was unresolved. She just said, “Thanks, bye.”
I paid $350 for a dirty, smelly vehicle and received zero customer service or follow-through. Extremely disappointed. I will not be renting from this location again.

I personally like this Hertz location….they always have a manager special which is usually a nice electric car like a Kia which is pretty nice….but still only $31 a day….and I just prepay for the charge which is nothing and worth it to bring it back without needing to charge it…. It’s a smaller location I think….so they definitely don’t have a million cars to rent….but I’ve never had an issue, even If I have to charge a little with a super charger, it took 20 minutes and I had almost 35 percent more charge. It was around $8.
The employees here have always been very friendly. If I need a specific car like gas and an SUV….I go to Enterprise…..but I definitely wait longer and pay more.

The transaction went as promised and i was pleased that there were no other expenses or charges.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had renting a car the car was very clean and nice however the customer service was awful. We had issues not only at pickup but returning the car as well. We prepaid for gas and were told we did not and had to fill up the care or be charged 12$ per gallon. After we filled it up and dropped it off got the receipt showing we prepaid gas and then a lady named Christine had a terrible attitude when called out on the issue. They did refund it but I would not use them again purely based on customer service.

I recently had the pleasure of renting a car from Hertz Rental at the Folsom location, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of awesome! From start to finish, everything went smoothly, making my trip even more enjoyable. Let me tell you about the highlights of my experience.
First and foremost, I must mention the outstanding customer service provided by Kristine, the Hertz supervisor who assisted me. From the moment I walked into the rental office, Kristine greeted me with a warm smile and a genuinely friendly attitude. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all my questions and explain the rental process in detail. It's refreshing to encounter someone so enthusiastic about their job and dedicated to ensuring a positive customer experience.
But the surprises didn't end there! As I was going through the paperwork, Kristine informed me that they had a special treat for me – an upgrade to a Nissan Rogue as a Manager special! The whole pickup process was quick and hassle-free, ensuring that I could hit the road without any unnecessary delays.
When it was time to return the car, I was pleased to find that the car rental return process was equally straightforward. I simply dropped off the car, and the Hertz team swiftly handled the inspection and paperwork. It was the perfect ending to my rental experience – no stress, no fuss.
Overall, I cannot praise Hertz enough for their exceptional service. From Kristine’s outstanding customer care to the hassle-free rental process and the fantastic car upgrade, everything was top-notch. Hertz has won me over as a loyal customer, and I won't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable and enjoyable car rental experience.

Every time I have rented from this Hertz location, i've had nothing but good service and cars available. Always in and out in less than 15 minutes. Very pleased with this location to be honest.

Reserved a mid sized sedan to get to SFO airport. Called them for rental pick up. Took down my details. The driver did not pick me up.
I called this location and they told me that they did not have a car to rent to me. I was told they were waiting for returns. They offered an electric for rent and was told that there is a clause that says an electric can also be offered in place of gas for my reservation.
This location cannot be trusted to honor the reservation or any pick up requests.
Save yourself sometime and book with any other rental company.

The link to get ahold of hertz doesn’t seem to work either. I would like to know how to get ahold of the owner of this store. I was charged over $400 for the car being supposedly dirty. Yet I was provided with no pictures of this. Nor was I notified I was being charged. This office is crooked. I’m filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Along with my credit card company for unauthorized charges and looking into filing a police report. Upon getting my rental car it was dirty. I told them that it was ok I was only going to be driving it for work. When it was returned I dropped it at the dealership my truck was being fixed at. When I looked at the charge on credit card. It was $544.61. Yet the quote was $127.33. After going through a bunch of nonsense. The customer service person said I was charged a cleaning fee. I was never called about how dirty the car was nor was I emailed a reciept. Couldn’t get a reciept online either. I took extra steps to make sure the car stayed just as clean as it was because I pave roads. So I changed shoes and wore disposable tyvek pants. I don’t know what the cleaning fee is. Looks to be over $400. That’s for a car that is no more dirty than when you got it. Not only that but the full tank of gas they claimed it had was more like 7/8. I made sure that I took it back full though so that there were no problems. I haven’t been shown any before and after pics to show how dirty it was. I’m sure that’s because it wasn’t any dirtier than when I got it. So now I’m trying to get the $400 back that I was overcharged. This place is a joke and it shows by the amount of 1 star reviews

I want Hertz to know that Cheyenne at Riley St location is an absolute Rockstar employee! She has truly been amazing. She has an enormous amount of patience, a great attitude and her customer service skills are top notch! After being hung up on 2x by Hertz outsourced phillipines phone support, Cheyenne saved my day. Thank you, again! ?
