Stayed here for three nights since I attended an event nearby. The hotel is near a variety of shopping and restaurants. So convenient you can walk. Theatre close by to stroll over after having a meal nearby. Pool was clean and the gym had a variety of workout equipmentHydration is encouraged and enhanced with a water dispenser that has slices of citrus sitting on the counter.Room was spacious and updated. Clean and well maintained.Had a minor snafu and was impressed that the supervisor, Jeffrey phoned me to correct the issue immediately.I would stay here again when in the area. The price was very reasonable which is another reason I will return.Rooms: Rooms are clean, spacious, updated, with the typical amenities ( refrigerator, coffee machine etc) love the refrigerator was enclosed so it wasn’t noisy.Safety: Good lighting at night.Walkability: Theatre, coffee, food, and shopping all in walking distance.Food & drinks: Variety of food and drinks walkable distance. No need to drive around looking for shopping Outlets across the street, as well as a movie theater.

Room was showing its age a little bit and needed some maintenance. I didn't have any problems during my stay but also couldn't figure out how this property was a step up from your basic two star hotel. I've stayed at much nicer Garden Inns before.

Great location, just off the 50 in Folsom. Room layout is strategic and just right. Standard Garden Inn amenities of refrigerator, microwave, Keurig are offered. This location will serve well for anyone passing through that needs a safe, secure, comfortable, stay with that Hilton service touch.Parking is free, hotel has a onsite restaurant, gym and pool. Located just across the street from the outlets as well in case you forgot something.Rooms: Standard Hilton Garden Inn layout with comfortable bed and well appointed space.Safety: Exterior doors all require card key to gain entry.Food & drinks: Breakfast is offered onsite from the onsite restaurant. Dinner also seems to be offered as well.Noteworthy details: Off Highway 50, across the street from the outlets.

Well not the typical experience of a Hilton branded hotel. This place is in dire need of a thorough cleaning and update. Old, dirty clunky elevators greet you and the hallways and rooms need new carpet. Not the experience of a Hilton we are used to.

Room was hot because the air conditioning didn't work. The elevator didn't work and my sister was almost trapped and the food service sucked. We were talked to like we were stupid, if you have people that talked to your guest like that you should fire them because now I never want to come back. Also if you have to pay for any of the food dont have food even out because people go straight to the food and then get told they have to pay and that stupid.

Room was fine. My issue is with breakfast. Hilton (I am a Diamond Member) says all Garden Inns provide continental breakfast. This location I guess does meet the minimum -- they have muffins and cold cereal. HOWEVER, if you take 3 or more items, they charge you $13. It is their way to get you to purchase from their menu. When you pay this much for a room, you should get more than a cup of coffee and 2 slices of toast before they start charging. Rooms were ok, but I will never stay again because of their miserly offerings when Hilton Corporate promises more.

The location of the hotel is excellent if you wish to be near Lake Natoma. The hotel could be cleaner, notably the breakfast area was unsanitary and the water fountain was also unsightly. We also had the unfortunate experience of leaving an item behind. The initial staff member we spoke to was so helpful, kind, and professional (Alex), but subsequent “hospitality” staff were rude and quick to let us know what an inconvenience this was to them (Marie) and then failed to repeat the necessary address, which prevented the staff from shipping the item altogether. The anger the female staff member directed at us for having left an item behind was really strange.Another employee called and stated they would not ship the item unless we email a label; all due to Marie being angry about the task in the first place and presumably writing an incorrect billing address. We wished we had been able to continue to dialogue with Alex, as there is no doubt he would have handled this small issue with ease.Considering how many Hiltons we have stayed at (Diamond Members) this has been our only negative experience. I would suggest finding a difference hotel with happier and kinder staff members.

The location of the hotel was excellent in terms of proximity to Lake Natoma. The cleanliness of the breakfast area and water fountain could certainly be improved. The room was clean. After leaving the hotel, an item was discovered left behind. The hotel was called immediately and Alex began working on locating the item. He was professional and demonstrated excellent communication skills and a pleasant demeanor. Truly a joy to work with. Thank you Alex! The next day, a woman by the name of Marie called in regards to the left behind item. Marie was curt and struggled to explain what her true problem was with a credit card/shipping address discrepancy for the left behind item. She was quite rude and without cause. She struggled to explain what was really needed from me in order to ship the item back. When I clarified and used my own words to describe the issue, she became very rude and felt I was speaking to her inappropriately. It was one of the strangest interactions I've ever had with hotel staff and very off putting after having had such a great experience with Alex. As Diamond members, this was a really sour note to end on after having stayed at so many of the Hilton owned hotels.

The front desk women were HORRIBLE. And if you called for anything, the attitude from the ladies at the front desk was flat out disrespectful. My girlfriend called them as I was struggling, feeling sick due to chemo and needed a few things. They were completely rude to her, they said I needed to call from the room, so I did...and I got the same treatment. Completely unacceptable! They never brought what I was asking for.

This was by far the worst hotel I have been to. people kept making fake complaints on me and saying that I was prank callling when they were loud in the hallways themselves. they had no extra pillows, bedsheets, blankets or cribs. The hotel is not luxurious in any way if you thought you were going to get a nice Hilton hotel. It does not speak for its name at all. Go to some other place because you will have a very hard time here. There was weird people, people in the hallways being loud all night, weird people staring. Rude staff. Just do not go there that is all I'd say.

There were several reasons. To set the stage we travelled all night through the night to get to this hotel in the middle of the night with my wife, 2 year old, and 7 month old. It was a last minute trip because my grandmother had been placed on hospice so we were traveling from southern California to say goodbye.1. when checking in at approximately 1am, we were not greeted as diamond members nor thanked for booking nor asked about upgrades, or amenities.2. once getting to our room, one of our keys didn't work3. the door didn't close properly, I had to use all of my 200lbs of weight to lean into it and secure it closed.4. when attempting to get fruit (a strawberry) at the morning breakfast, the tongs had been moved under another tray. my wife reached in to grab one single strawberry by the top and one of the staff yelled at her loud enough it drew attention to everyone in the lobby and berated her and told her to use the tongs, which it took even the staff member several minutes to find. I'm not arguing that she shouldn't have used tongs, but it was the way it was handled.5. when asking about late check out the person at the desk didn't even look up at me before harshly answering that the latest she could do was noon, without even looking at her computer or seeing what room we were in, or seeing that diamond members get late check out included.6. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY when we were down stairs one morning, we had asked if we could have more towels brought up to our room. When we returned to our room several minutes later we see a staff member coming out of our room. When I politely asked if there was an issue with our room because we had our DO NOT DISTURB sign up. He rudely snapped back, "YOU GUYS WANTED TOWELS DIDN'T YOU."7. And finally when trying to leave our horrid trip. the icing on the cake was that when we went to get into the elevator it stopped working and got stuck. We were in there several minutes STUCK before we were able to get the doors open and get out to find another way out of the hotel. When we found our way downstairs to check out the front desk attendant just stated, sorry for the inconvenience. After all of those issues, I recommend you stay away, and you'll have better luck, and PRIVACY in a Walmart parking lot.

This is an example of a hotel that needs TLC. Condition is not good and many features need repair. Food service was ok but lacked cleanliness. Staff is not the same as other Hilton hotels, less interested in service. If you are passing through and need to stop for the night ok ( car needs service etc) but if you need a place for a business trip look elsewhere. Parking is ok but be sure to clean out valuables overnight. Easy access to the freeway. It filled its purpose but just....
