Katie did an incredible job with my daughter's hair. My daughter has very long very curly hair that she only wears straightened. The style she wanted was long layers with curtain bangs and Katie cut it exactly how she wanted. The salon is really nice inside, and in a great location. Katie and Indie were recomended by my sister who would never go anywhere else.

Ive been looking for a hairstylist for a couple weeks now. I contacted one of the stylist I'm not sure what her name is but her Instagram is inderhair. I sent her a message asking if I could make an appointment to get my hair done by her(as it says on her Instagram to message for appointment) she rudely replied who is this? I explained to her I was looking for someone to cut my hair as I'm dealing with PP hair loss. She didn't even message back she just blocked me. Incredibly rude and incredibly unprofessional. She could of at least told me she wasn't comfortable and ended it at that. I also called the salon twice left a message and never got a response.

Amber Cole did not cut my hair how I wanted it though I showed her plenty of example photos, and I looked and felt terrible. She does not know how to cut curly hair. She talked over me the entire time about how she picks her nose and then showed me explicit, gory photos. I texted Jen the owner about having another stylist take a look at it. When she found out I didn’t like it, she called me (at 9 in the evening!) and sent a series of rude texts. Such a nasty lacking of skill, professionalism, and basic common sense.

This review is for Amber. I came into Indie after coming for years, but was referred to Amber when my regular moved away. I asked for someone comfortable and skilled with curly hair. She did not cut my hair the way I showed her even though I showed her very specific photos. She used the blade of the scissors to basically razor my curly, thick hair. When I asked questions or pointed things out she'd cut it more for some reason. I figured I'd give it a day and make sure it wasn't just the way she styled it or how it was dried. After the day, it was, of course, still bad. I sent Jen the owner, who is very sweet, a message about having another stylist take a look at it, since she was the one who referred me. I felt and looked horrible. I did not message Amber because I thought she would take it personally and wig out- I was right. Amber called me at 9 in the evening! Then sent a series of rude messages accusing me of scamming her, which she deducted from my "character"- the only thing I talked about, when she wasn't talking over me about how she picks her nose and showing me explicit photos, was how I had surgery in Beverly Hills and that I volunteer as an English teacher for new American children. So by "character", she really meant non-White and brown skinned. I've never encountered such a disgusting display of ineptitude of skill, professionalism, and basic social and common sense. For someone of her advanced age, it is egregious to receive such horrible customer service and disrespectful communication. She did not apologize and instead played coy and told me to "calm down" and that I was "off the rails" when I calmly asked for my money back and she needed to respond for her rude messages. I got my hair recut beautifully by JOYCE SONG in SoCal, who said as she cut my hair "Did they take a razor to your head? Oh my God, why would someone do this? This is not how you cut hair."

Their salon is clean and inviting with a touch of modern Boho Industrial decor, located in Old Town Folsom. I'm always pleased with my color, cut and style by Jenn!

It’s always an amazing experience when you can go to a salon and get exactly what you want, feel amazing during the process and walk out the door feeling beautiful. Every stylist in this salon is amazing in their own right. I was thrilled when my stylist Amber Cole ended up at this Salon. Indie has a vibe as soon as you enter the building that you can’t duplicate. When you know you know. It’s a sanctuary on Sutter Street.

This salon is so aesthetically pleasing and well decorated. The music playing always sets the perfect vibe for a relaxing time off hair pampering. I followed Sherry here a few years ago from her prior salon because she always does such an amazing job getting my blonde just right (which is not easy!) I love the Devines product line that they use and sell here. I had never heard of it before, but now I'm obsessed! I had one appointment with Megan while Sherri was on maternity leave and she did an awesome job as well.
