The location is excellent. Right on the waterfront and walkable to the adjacent historic district.Rooms: Standard room. Nothing special but clean, comfy bed and had everything we needed.Walkability: Close to the historic district. Coffee, restaurants, shopping, etc.Noteworthy details: Hotel does not provide free breakfast or coffee. Limited restaurant menu.

This hotel is well placed for exploring the Folsom Historic District. The surroundings are beautiful. There are plenty of outdoor activities and boutique shopping opportunities! The hotel is clean, and the service is friendly. The bath care amenities are nice. However, they have little to offer in the way of directions or information, except for vending machines and extra towels. They do have breakfast on offer, and a bar is open for a few hours in the evening. Worth it for the price if you are well prepared and self sufficient.

I stayed in an executive suite and my room smelled like stuffy, stinky, old carpet. This hotel needs a face-lift bad. I had to sleep with my window open and heater on high to combat the nasty smell. It was below freezing outside as well. I could hear my neighbors. One positive was the bed was comfortable.

We have stayed here twice now, the first time there were some issues with the room which were brought up but ignored we feel but the sentiment was great. The front desk staff is amazing, the little golf cart up to Sutter street is awesome and the location is greatFood & drinks: Hop sings on Sutter street is great and great price

Walkability: Near Folsom’s historic districtNoteworthy details: Love the location and staff. One observation: the overhead lights throughout the hotel cast an inhospitable, bluish tone. It would be an easy but powerful fix to switch them for warmer tones.

Pros:* Staff was great!* Bed sheets and bed where comfortable* Quiet* Clean room* Quality lotion in a large bottle availableCons:*No water station anywhere in the hotel including the gym* No breakfast included unfortunately* Gym was lacking and free weights over 35lbs. And no sunlight can enter as the stack of chairs outside the window block potential incoming lightRooms: Beds were great, on the softer side even though I prefer more medium to firm. The light switch to the bathroom was odd as you can only turn the light on outside to the bathroom to also have the bathroom light on, not ideal if someone is sleeping even though there is a corner that does block some of the lightNoteworthy details: A nice area to walk through behind the hotel, the exterior building is quite pretty and unique which is great to see as today's designs are quite the opposite

Beautiful place. Super friendly staff. Very loud false fire alarm and 3rd floor smelt very strong of paint from doing renovations. Couldn't take a bath due to drain plug being messed up and 2 electrical plugs wernt working. But would stay again. Besides the fire alarm it was a very quiet relaxing place.

Stayed here for three nights back in early November, and I must say we were impressed with the hotel! The first night we stayed in a traditional double queen room and then we extended our stay the next morning two more nights! We weren’t able to keep our room unfortunately since they were sold out for the next two nights, but we got an executive king room that was right next door to our old room. It made for an easy transition. Both rooms, 439 and 437, were nice but it seemed that the double queen room was very recently remodeled as it had more quality furniture and was more modern. 437 the king room had older furniture and the walls were yellow. Still was a good experience here and also check out the in house restaurant for breakfast. Although it’s not free it’s still very good and is worth the price. Would stay again if in the area!

So where do I begin 1st the location is great especially for out of town guest. The staff was very friendly and bar staff was amazing HOWEVER we used this venue for my daughters wedding and reception and reserved about 15 or more rooms for 100 guest. When I met the coordinator she was pleasant and the lobby area and outside was very nice. We planned the wedding over a year I really didn’t think I needed to check what the rooms looked like but when we checked In I instantly knew these rooms were Motel quality. The doors were all Scratched up and the hall smelled a bit like pet or some sort of Oder but it was to late this was the day before the wedding so we made do. Now wedding day everything was fine but the catering is a BIG NO. The food was cold bland and under cooked. Most of the guest didn’t eat because it was more like senior citizen bland food although we were very detailed in wanting food cooked well done as well as highly seasoned . Also they do not clean rooms and charged me a cleaning fee when we were in the room for 3 days and the bridal party got ready in the rooms with hairstylist and make up artist in the rooms while getting dressed for the big day. Because the bride and bridesmaids were sort of ordered to stay in the room so that the groom would not see her before the ceremony we ordered food trays and appetizers for the room all day long as we had a 5 pm wedding start time line. If they cleaned daily there wouldn’t be excess of items to clean. Also the coordinator is there Wend - Sunday so if you need quick responses to questions this is not the place for you. Our wedding was over at 10pm and some of us headed up to the room because some of us had early flights only to be shocked that downstairs there was another party going on still and it sounded like the dj was in the room with us it was so loud and did not end until 1130 when we were told it would be done at 11. They had no consideration for the hotel quest which was definitely something I feel should be communicated to the guest.

A standard yet classy room, solid quality meal options at their restaurant.Where they shine is their staff. The servers and bartender's and even DJs for events are the best at customer experience I've experienced yet. The front desk was able to accommodate my unique request under pressure and challenging circumstances for which I am very grateful.Keep it up!

Overall, our stay for one night only was decent. The proximity to downtown and nature trails really make this hotel. There was plenty of parking and accessibility to the downtown area. The hotel itself is a bit rundown, older elevators, unsure about stair access that isn’t marked as emergency only, long hallways of rooms. The room has some faults but overall decent. When you go to the bathroom you have to turn a hallway light on to turn the bathroom light on. The bathrooms can use some general upgrades. Outlets are only available on one side of the bed. The walls and floors are thin at this hotel where you can hear nearby visitors walking, taking showers and blow drying their hair.

Stayed here on our wedding night, We loved that it is in walking distance to power house. There are zero sound barriers and the doors are old and wooden. The sheets were clean, but that's about it, I believe I had the worse room which was very frustrating because I was the bride drains were clogged so while showering the water wouldn't go down and the sink, my wedding food was horrible very bloody but overall Jacqueline was super sweet and helpful, Everything else, from the carpet to the furniture to the interior structure of the hotel itself, was extremely outdated floors smelled like pee and throw up and they had the nerve to try and charge us an extra $250 for cleaning fees which was later resolved the food was horrible I didn't even touch my plate at all we couldn't even enjoy are plate very disappointed about the food never again will I tell anyone to have their wedding here only thing great was the staff honestly but as far as the food no no and absolutely not if you are looking to have a wedding don't here !!!!
