I recently visited this salon with high expectations, considering its reputation as a top-tier establishment. While I appreciate the stylist's honesty in admitting a lack of knowledge about cutting curly hair, it's disheartening that in 2023, a salon of this caliber lacks fundamental expertise in catering to all hair types. It's essential for all stylists, regardless of the salon's clientele, to have basic knowledge about curly hair, as people of all races and ethnicities have diverse hair textures. In an era where inclusivity and understanding of various hair types are paramount, I believe there's no excuse for such a prominent salon to fall short in this aspect of their services.Today, I walked out with a supremely basic trim, which dod not even include the front pieces of my hair and had to pay $50. Tomorrow and going forward, I hope this salon does better.

I saw @Alex_paints_hair for the first time and received multiple compliments on my hair for a week. She had cut and styled it in such a way that people even thought i’d colored it, as my hair was healthier and no longer frizzy, so it caught the light and showed off the balayage i’d already had. I so appreciated the time she took and patience she demonstrated as she actively listened to my concerns and goals. Now my hair looks good no matter how it is styled because she actually listened to my life style and patterns and adjusted the cut to meet my needs. I’ll definitely only be seeing her, now. I’ve attached a before(sitting on a bridge) and an after photo.

My fiancé went in and saw kat and she did a shaggy hair style on her. She has had bad experiences with salons and Kat made her feel comfortable asked her if she wanted more cut after sheFinished trimming and honestly did everything right. Thank you Kat ! She’ll be coming back !

Made an appointment here with in the same 24hrs of I having a learning experience with dying my hair at home and Mallory saved me! She did such an amazing job fixed what I messed up and was so thoughtful delicate with my hair after what I had just put it through(box dye/ then color oops).Services: Shampoo & conditioning

Sadly my hair is falling out and ruined from this salon. I have tried to get my full refund back so I can pay to get it fixed some where else but they refuse. I went in for a color correction and my only request was that I wanted a natural looking color. Well I left in tears with blackish/blue hair. Mine you my natural hair color is a ashy dark blonde. I did stupid hair dye that was supposed to wash out for Halloween that never came and they told me they would fix it. Now my scalp burns, my hair has been falling out since I visited the salon 4 days ago.

As a newcomer to the area, I selected Maribou based on Yelp reviews combined with its storefront appearance and my walk-in inquiry experience. Fortunately, I was paired with the right stylist for my intentionally graying, salt & pepper hair. Whitney listened to my concerns, talked through her ideas and even advised on easy self-style tips. As a business consultant myself, I appreciated her consultative approach and attention to detail with fabulous results! I am already looking forward to my next appointment In January!

crizalyn cut my hair sooo nicely. i left it up to her because i had super long hair that was one length flat it was boring. i gave her some guidance of what i wanted but pretty much just said do ur thing and that SHE DID. she was super pleasant to speak to as well. i has to multitask on my computer due to work but she was gracious, attentive, and respectful.

My hairstylist is Crizalyn and she is amazing. Thank you for everything. She is kind, caring, considerate, and always check on me during each step of the way. We discussed what types of hairstyle I wanted and she made recommendations. I felt she took her time to do my hair and was not in a rush. I had long and thick hair so I appreciate the time she took. I loved how my hair turned out! Overall, highly recommend Crizalyn! You won't be disappointed!

When I first moved to Folsom I was nervous about my haircut because I'm growing it out after blonde damage. Thankfully I booked an appointment with Crizalyn. She understood exactly what I wanted and what I was trying to achieve with my hair goals. My haircut looked so healthy, voluminous and most importantly it still looked long. She did exactly what I asked for which is important in a hair cut. Crizalyn is now my go to here in Folsom!
