We have used Michaels for framing service numerous times over the years with good success (the hardest part of the process is putting together the appropriate frame & mat selection). Recently, we had above & beyond help/success with 2 framing projects; WWII photo of our recently deceased 90 year old father/grandfather & a graduation diploma for our daughter-in-law. The end result of these 2 projects was fantastic thanks to employee Ido! This gentlemen, an art major in college, was patient & seemed to instinctively know the best combination of frame, mat types & mat colors! His patience, guidance, & professionalism was a step above & highly appreciated! Michaels is darn lucky to have such a great employee!

Worst service ever at Michaels a few minutes ago. Clerk would not check people out and made everyone go to self checkout even when they weren't comfortable or were having an issue. And she was yelling across the checkout area with instructions when again the person was having difficulty and was absolutely not able to move forward checking out. You have registers. Use them for those that want or need it. Seriously! I feel sorry for the woman who was being yelled at across the checkout area in front of other customers.

I went to Michaels today to buy picture frames and adhesive mounting tape. When I asked the first employee for help, she was too busy and directed me to the framing department. As I walked to the back I saw two employees; one employee was helping customers while the other employee (female with short strawberry blonde hair), was standing behind a register. I approached the free employee and said, "Hi there." She was taking a drink from a straw, finished, and just looked at me with no response. I asked her, "Do you not say hello?" She replied in the most indignant way, "I'm not on duty, but I guess I can help you." I clearly did not want her help after that response, so I said "No worries" and walked away. This was a Monday morning a little after 10 am and the store was not busy. Absolutely horrible service.

I was trying to salvage a painting that was damaged from the original frame. I visited the Michael's store in Folsom and was greeted by Dan in framing. Dan is fantastic! He is knowledgeable and delivered great customer service. Dan immediately removed the damaged frame and offered solutions to covering the damage to the painting with creative framing. I appreciate his kind demeanor and can do attitude. Thank you, Dan!

I was in a need of photo albums and scrapbooks. The real hard copy versions and not digital. So I dropped on into the Michael's in Folsom. It's a big box home decor, arts and craft shop in the Broadstone Center on the corner of Broadstone Parkway and East Bidwell Street. I haven't been in a Michael's since pre-pandemic. So I took my time walking the aisles and looking at the merch. I was geeking out looking at all the crafting supplies and home decor. The Folsom shop is a bit bigger in square footage than several of the other local Sacramento Michael's. So the shelves may not be filled to the gills because it's a big store to fill up. But it does have all the basic arts and crafts materials and then some. Overall the prices weren't discount bargains but not fru fru extravagant either. As I browsed, I past staff working in certain areas. Everyone was friendly and willing to provide assistance. I bought a couple of photo albums. They had a large and varying selection. So much so, I had a hard time making a decision. Price points varied as well. Luckily for me, they were on sale for BOGO for half off. Tip: always check their website for scannable coupons; they seem to always offer a 40% off coupon for one retail (non sale) priced item.

I went into Michael's yesterday to look for yarn. Extremely limited inventory and no crochet hooks to buy. However, they are still trying to get rid of Christmas at 80%. Very disappointed. Also looking for a flowered wreath. They were almost $70. What is going on there?

They may have the products you need at this store, but staff is not very helpful or interactive. They always seem irritated if you need help finding something or want to ask questions. Also, hands down the dirtiest bathrooms in a store I have been to at any other store in the area. Store doesn't seem very clean.
