Love my bank! I haven't had a single bad interaction with any employee here. Everyone is always so helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. The few issues I've had have always been resolved very quickly. Their mobile app is easy to use and very convenient. You can pretty much do everything in the app that you can on a desktop. What led to write this review was the great experience I had getting an auto loan. I decided to go into the branch and talk to someone about my options. (Although you can apply for an auto loan online) Courtney helped me out and was so amazing. She went through a bunch of different options with me and played around with the numbers until we landed on a monthly payment that worked for me. She was able to get me a really good low rate. I honestly was shocked. She also was able to get me approved within a few minutes. I also shared with her that I was desperate to get a car asap and had hit a lot of dead ends. Apparently Schools works closely with Enterprise Car Sales. She shared that even she had purchased a few cars through them and had a great experience. She gave me their contact information, I went straight there after leaving Schools, and I bought the second car I test drove. So thank you to Courtney for a great (and fast) auto loan application experience and thank you for the perfect recommendation for where to buy a car!

I can't believe how many bad reviews for something that is not a branch-specific problem. Go complain to the Corporate office, not bad reviews on a branch's page. ANYWAYS. Yes, the merger was horrible but I came out on the other side without any serious issues. I've been with Schools since I was like 10? I'm 27 now. I've done at least 6 loans with Schools, and have always had a wonderful relationship with them. Card is lost? Immediately had it canceled and could get a new one printed in-person same day. Mystery transaction? No problem, call them up to get to the bottom of it and get a claim submitted and a credit applied to my account. I was able to get a vehicle loan for a 20+ old truck with 2.34% interest rate along with an $18k personal loan with a 7% or so rate. CRAZZZYY?! Now my man wants to get a car loan with them too! I do sometimes miss the old Schools, but I love that I can personalize so much more of my account and experience with them. Before, I couldn't remove someone from my account; I had to start all over with a new one. Now I can remove someone with ease and limit a card user's access to my account. There is so much more flexibility with the merger that took place. I've been working with Sarah B for at most 10 years. I was so happy to see her jump into a higher role at this branch. And now my other best girl, Lucy L, is climbing up the same ladder! They both go out of their way for members and really treat you like a person, not a dollar sign. Again, a rate of 2.34% for a 20+ truck when another bank did an unsecured, compounding interest (12%) loan for a CHEAPER and SAME AGE car... see the difference? They cannot be beaten in my books. I love their little events too, free food, and goodies to snag like umbrellas or insulated bags. Never in my 17 years as a minimum wage "kid" have I felt so comfortable with a bank. They even know the names of my cars and keep up to date on what new gossip is going down in my life. 1000/10 recommend. There's no other bank I will go to.

I’ve really enjoyed the new changes from the old Schools to Schools First. Jonathan is always a delight when he greets me as I enter the branch. All the staff has been super helpful through my many transactions.

The merger was a complete disaster. Our new account wasn't available making our money unavailable due to poor planning and horrible IT. It's now the end of February 2021 and I'm still feeling the effects of this poor planed out merger. Now these stimulus checks we are supposed to receive are going to my old account that doesn't exist and you can't change it with the IRS. The bank should have let everyone keep their account numbers. Now the app they have is just as bad. Good luck doing mobile deposits. That feature only works half the time. The old app from Schools Financial CU, which was highly rated worked perfectly. Honestly if I were this banks CEO I would have fired the IT director and all the project managers linked to this merger that today is still costing me money. I hope to see a class action lawsuit against this bank. How many people have money in limbo because of the account number and debit card number change, and can't get access to it? I bet everyone!!!

Like many people in today's current times I was looking to cut monthly financial outgo...my main goal was to cut my auto payment in half as some monthly expenses had increased...since I work doing something similar I hold expertise and customer service at a high standard...I walked in without an appointment and was greeted by a very friendly person in the lobby who was more than happy to assist me...I was told that the wait would be about 15 minutes which allowed me to run and get an errand done and come back...true to his word I came back and waited for a very short time for an agent to assist me...Sarah took all of my information and understood what goal I wanted to accomplish...she provided me with a lot of information and answered all of my questions...I was on a time crunch so could not sign that day...I showed up unexpected 2 days later and late in the day at that...Sarah took the time to finish up with me even though she stayed late...she was very professional and very adept at the customer service she provided to me...the outcome of my experience was much better than expected...class act...thumbs up!!!

This has to be the worst experience of a take over I've ever had the unfortunate experience to be a part of. From acquiring all our accounts, locking us away from our money, and cancelling our credit cards all with the "intention" of making a seamless transition. I've been trying for the last hour to access my account using the user name and password I set up, then trying to reset my password, only to get caught in a loop. Their contact number only works if you are in your account, which I'm LOCKED OUT OF!! Whom ever they have transitioning as their tech company should be fired, as well as all upper management who thought this was a good idea doing it this way. The apology letters and the "I'm sorry's" from the young women and men on the phones are only the tip of what's wrong with this company. I've been with Schools FCU for 34 years, and have NEVER once experienced such mismanagement. There are fools running this company! My advice is to quickly transfer your money out of this institution, because tomorrow, you may not have access and your accounts and your money will be gone!!! I'm getting out this Monday, provided there's anyone to talk with to transfer my four account I have with them. They're going down in flames!!

The merger between Schools Financial and Schools First Federal credit union has been a disaster. You're on hold for hours then when you finally reach someone, they give you another number where you can be on hold. I have a question why my 18k line of credit just disappeared and to avoid another 2+ hour wait, it would be easier to give US Bank my business. Run as fast as you can from this disorganized and frustrating merger. The mobile app is horrible and the excuse is: "well not everything transferred!" Consumer beware on this one! When they say that you're going to love it...don't believe them! No amount of PR can save this nightmare.

I must say I have been a member for over 15 years and this transition to Schools First FCU has been abysmal. It is the morning of November 1st 2020 and I cannot log into to transition to the new online banking website. The website is down. Their app is down. Their customer service center is closed. The phone number to activate my card does not work. I have no cash and no cards that work. Great job everyone! Will be looking at opening an account with Golden One.

Since the merger with Schools Financial I have been unable to access my accounts. When you call you wait on hold and no one answers. The merger was a disaster to those who need access to their funds. With covid no one wants to go in to fix things and calling gets you nowhere.
