I'm super frustrated with being unable to use a Lowe's gift card I got for Christmas. I accidentally scratched the PIN off of the card. I was unable to use the card at the self checkout without the PIN. An associate tried guessing a bunch of PIN numbers. That didn't work. So, I went to customer service. They tried guessing PIN numbers. That didn't work. So they told me to call Lowe's Corporate. I called Lowe's Corporate. They told me I needed to go back into the store and have an associate call them. I did that. The associate called them. They told the associate I would need to call a company called Black Hawk. I called them. They said they only dealt with corporate gift cards. They transferred my call to Lowe's gift card support, who said I would need to call Lowe's Corporate. They also mentioned that the gift card balance was used up on December 27th. So, somehow, on the day that I initially went to customer service, the balance was used up even though I never bought anything with the card. Customer service must have messed something up that day. I give up. I've spent over an hour at the customer service desk and on the phone trying to get this straightened out. All for a $50 gift card. Lowe's wins. They get to keep that money. Whatever you do, be careful when scratching your gift card to see your PIN number.Edit: The number provided in the reply below was unhelpful. I spent about 20 minutes on the phone with someone. Then, 2 days later, I received an email stating that the balance of the card was redeemed on 12/27, so nothing could be done. I'd like to know what I supposedly bought with this card without the PIN. The only time the card was out of my possession was when the Lowe's staff had it.

For the last 15 years I've bought all my appliances from the store. The salespersons are always very helpful and knowledgeable here. Whereas when I walk into home Depot to buy an appliance I have to chase down a salesperson to help me Even though I'm spending two $3,000 on an appliance. That's what sets Lowe's apart. A+ staff

I honestly prefer Lowes to Home Depot, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware seem to carry more "Specific" things than Lowe's. I just don't really care for their customer service. Lowe's has nicer service providers who go a bit above and beyond to help their customers. The Lowe's stores are a bit cleaner. They do a bit of aggressive servicing. However, if you know what you're looking for, the aggressiveness is helpful rather than flat-out annoying. Their tool brands are not Milwaukee or Dewalt, but I think every thing else is pretty on point. A good place to shop on Sierra Lakes Parkway.

We went to shop for appliances. We received excellent customer service from Anthony Winger. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He helped us from the showroom floor all the way through setting up delivery and install orders. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better appliance shopping experience!! Thank you Anthony!!!

How in the F. Do you expect people to shop in your store if your employees are not willing to help. Same thing. Not very friendly employees this is my 3rd visit..same old plus no more Cashiers you are doing their job now. N

The Customer service desk is such a let down! Try calling them and watch the minutes add up waiting for someone to pick up the phone. Even in store you could be waiting 10 to 15 mins for someone to show up. Now don't get me wrong, when finally someone does show up or answer the phone they are very helpful.
