The vets and staff at this location (foothill ranch) not only go above and beyond for your pet, but also the owner. Everything is explained clearly and if there are options, they are all explained clearly. 5 years ago I had to take our family dog of 17 years to Dr Sam. The entire staff helped me through this terrible time. Just an amazing team.

I recently took my dog in to get his shot. When I got there, the receptionist told me to give her 5 minutes. I stepped away and came back 5 minutes later. The receptionist continues to check other people in that came after me. When I finally get to the front, she told me that the doctor will be giving 3 shots. I questioned it and she told me that it is the same shots that was given to my dog before. Since it was the same as before, I approved the shot. When my dog was checked in, I was told to come back 15 minutes later to pick my dog. I waited for 30 minutes and check in with the receptionist. She told me that my dog was up next. Another 30 minutes later it was done. I was in the rush to get back to work so I did not look at the charge. Later that night, I check with my wife on the charge and found out we were over charged. My wife attempted on numerous occasions to resolve the issue, but Banfield did nothing to resolve it, even though they admit the service given is different from before.I feel like I was treated badly with check-in process wasting a lot of time. The check-in staff did not take the time to explain to me the shots and cost of it. All they told me was that it is the same as before. Being a long-time customer, I trusted Banfield at their word but in the end got swindled in paying more. I have lost my trust in Banfield and will cancel my monthly subscription and take my business elsewhere. Their service has gone down the drain.

Once again Banfield deserves zero stars if yelp allowed it. After having problems last time made an appt for my fur baby to have his vaccines that are covered with their wellness plans. Hmm get there today for his appt they claim his plan expired yesterday when appt.made asked when it expires they rold.me the 29th today's is the 27th. When looking g back to see when paid last year on credit card statements was paid on May 29th for an entire year. Was planning on renewing which I will not be doing as this places business ethics are lacking. I will gladly take my fur baby to either VCA, or wagly which both ha e much better reviews for.thw sam price. If you value your pets dump Banfield

Rooms where you can stay with your pet while the vet is checking them were closed for Covid protocol. They remain closed even when hospitals have opened. Seems that they are now taking advantage of a situation that is not best practice for the pet but a benefit to them. Disappointing.

This review is specific to Banfield Corporate Wellness Plans, not the Foothill Ranch office. Dr. Sam is a wonderful vet at this location, he should be working somewhere that values their people and pet-clients more than their bottom line, because that sure isn't Banfield. The Banfield Wellness Plans: They are, in a word, a total rip off and should be barred from doing business in this industry. In the fine print of the Wellness plan contract, they say you can't cancel because the services you receive under the Plan are "discounted" and the retail value of your used services must be paid in full if your pet dies when you request to cancel or you can just continue paying for your dead pet until the 12 month contract is up. It's cruel and unusual punishment for a family that suffers the loss of a pet to continue to have to pay the wellness plan post-mortem. Their "discounted" fees for services rendered are outrageous, and the retail fees when they calculate that to determine how much you've "used" of the Plan benefits are nearly 2x as much as any reputable vet. So, adding insult to injury, when the pet dies, like our dog just did, we paid $300 for them to put her to sleep and we get to still keep paying the rest of the 3 months on her Plan at $54/mo according to their rules. Our dog did not even use the main service that is the most costly one on the 12-month plan, the dental, but yet Banfield needs to collect their extra $150 to make themselves richer. Caution to anyone thinking of using them or the Plan: find another provider.

We have theor Insurance and have been taking our dogs here for YEARS! The staff is great and prices are reasonable even when not covered by insurance :-)

We've been going here for years and have received pretty good service. Dr Sam is really good and the only Dr we see. His schedule is limited so we have to wait for days sometimes. Staff is friendly and for the most part efficient. The best thing they offer is their health and wellness plans. These plans are awesome because they ensure you do preventative check ups and pet maintenance. You pay a monthly fee and in return you get a ton of services including free Dr visits anytime. This visit was for dental, a service most owners don't do because it's expensive. However, it's included in the plan with blood work and some x-rays for a gimpy leg on our dog. My only complaint about Banfield is corporate. During covid they screwed up our acct and I had some issues I'm still dealing with. The actual vet office is always problem free.

Dr Sam is a VERY honest man! Our dogs had a couple loose teeth that fell out while her teeth were being cleaned. While Dr Sam could have charged me for this, he was honest and told me that they fell out of their own and I wasn’t charged. With this quality, he will go far in his practice!

Dr. Sam has been our dogs vet for quite a while now and we could not be happier. Dr Sam and his staff, along with the girls at the front desk are outstanding, friendly, caring, knowledgeable. What I appreciate, is Dr Sam will take the time to come out and speak to you and explains all details so you can understand, he'll answer all your questions and really cares.

Was initially just going to come here for the wellness plan and have a primary care veterinarian elsewhere, but then I met the staff and knew I wanted my dog, Kobe, to get all of his care here. Dr. Natalia, Kaitlyn, Lex, Stephanie, and everyone else were so caring and professional. I just felt it was the right place for us. Thank you all for being so amazing!

My husband, myself and of course Buddy too can't thank Dr. Labang enough for her caring, compassionate and super expertise In taking such good care of Buddy. She is amazing!! Unfortunately it took over 6 days for an appointment to see a doctor, so Buddy was pretty sick by the time he was able to be seen yesterday, but with the expertise of Dr. Labang, Buddy is doing amazingly well one day later, thank you again Dr. Labang, you're the best!
