I took my Subaru to the dealership (I know) for a simple oil change. They claimed oil was mixing with the coolant. They wanted to tear down my engine for $3,400 just to “find the issue,” and said it could end up costing $5,000–$7,000.
Thankfully, I had my car towed to Tony’s Automotive instead. They actually ran a real diagnostic, took the time to explained everything clearly, and were super transparent. The cost was significantly less, they saved me thousands of dollars and told me they didn’t even see the same issue the dealership claimed. Even without an appointment, they got all the work done within a day, which was amazing. They also offered to recheck my car for free a few weeks later, which they did today in under five minutes. Everything looked great.
As a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars, I can’t say enough how much I appreciated how respectful and honest they were.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy shop that actually puts customers first and does honest work. Tony’s Automotive is the place to go.”
“I decided to bring in my Saab 2007, 9-3, here about 3 months ago, they did over $2k worth of work, was having a hard time finding a Saab mechanic and thankfully they had experience there with Saabs. So far so good, still have some extra work to do to make it last longer so I'll be back as soon as I can. But honestly very happy with their work, my top didn't want to go down after they gave it back to me and never had issues w my top going down only up, so I told him about it an he wanted to charge me $200 just to check it out i did think that wasn't a hook up knowing i spent a good amount of $ to not help me out, so I took it somewhere else and they put it down for free lol. My oil light came on today since they've worked on it, and called for them to top it off, said he's got me for free so that's great! So if you plan on coming here honestly Maury isn't bad and his guys aren't either they are doing their best they can!”

While I live in San Diego--I got a nail in my tire and had to pull off the freeway. After attempting Firestone (3hr wait) I googled tire shops and found this plaza full of auto shop options. Walking along all the other auto shops in this center--Horacio was the only place that had a person at the front counter ready to hear my need.
He drove my car around to take a look and came back in the lobby 15min later and said "done!". I was impressed with how quickly he got me back on the road. “Chris, the owner, is a good communicator. First he made an appointment with me so I could get in and out relatively quick, which at the dealer, I have to sit over 1 hour. Chris promptly met me at the scheduled appointment time. It was my intermediate service on my Prius, e.g., fluids, tires. He explained the tire pressure was down on all 4 due to weather. Price was certainly reasonable -- much more than my Toyota Dealer -- Chris was about 40% less. I highly recommend Finishline -- friendly and ethical owner. “These guys are the BEST. If you’re looking for service on your VW, this is the place to be. After thousands of wasted dollars with the dealership, I finally found a reasonably priced mechanic for my GTI. I had a coolant leak repaired for less than HALF of the quoted price from the dealership, got my oil changed, and got my front brake pads and rotors replaced, without breaking the bank. Very fair and reasonable pricing, and phenomenal customer service. Daniel is friendly and super helpful, and he makes sure you know exactly what’s going on and that your car is in good hands. Always a pleasure working with them as they are also very flexible with dropping off / picking up your car. I’m so glad that after 2 years of dealership shenanigans, I’ve finally found the right shop for my car. Highly recommend!!”
