TV was very small, no bathrooms in the rooms. You had to walk across the hall to go to the bathroom. Wi-Fi was terrible. Out in the middle of nowhere, but very beautiful there.Rooms: The rooms were small, no bathroom small t. V.Nearby activities: There's a nice bridge around there somewhere. I didn't have time to go across that though.

Got married here in September and every single person who works here was amazing. I felt like I didn’t have to do anything the whole day. Clara was our coordinator and she was so patient and informative. Her calm demeanor helped me feel relaxed and taken care of. They were so accommodating and wonderful. I love sweets and the cake was phenomenal. The dinner was delicious. Everything was incredible. They had the whole place cleaned up for us by the morning time. Thank you so much for making our day so much fun.

Well, the atmosphere is beautiful and the lodge is old. It is well maintained with the exception of the rooms. It is convenient for the wedding party and family to stay at the lodge but the comfort level of utilizing the restrooms and the beds are horrible. Also, there is no ADA compliance in regards to the shuttle bus, I understand that the lodge is extremely old and did not expect compliance for the rooms and access but for the shuttle they must have handicap availability for wheelchairs and those with mobility issues. I’m surprised they’re allowed to operate that vehicle in such a manner.Nearby activities: Your location allows for hiking and biking if you so desire it’s also beautiful venue for a weddings. The bar and lounge area is also very nice.Food & drinks: The bar and food was very good. Staff was excellent. As a matter fact I would rate them outstanding.

We visited Forest House for a wedding, and it was darling. The downstairs area for activities is amazing. The rooms are quaint, and our bed was really comfortable. The staff was awesome and the food was really good!

I have dreamed about having my wedding here for 15+ years and it finally happened! And, it was AMAZING! They literally are so helpful and have SO many decorations, that I barely had to purchase any at all. They decorated too and it was everything I dreamed about...Clara nailed our theme. Everyone there was super professional and made our day go smoothly. It was the best and our day was so special and perfect. Thank you!!

This place took roughly 20k deposit for a friends wedding we were supposed to attend. Sadly the fires occurred and the wedding couldn't go on and would be able to for quite sometime. They told them they would get their $ back but still over a year later they are refusing to give their $ back. I wouldn't trust using this venue. Especially until they make it right. They kept trying to string arm them into an indefinite way further out date, the problem was everyone had already flown in from all over the country.

BUYER BEWARE! As we are continuing this issue, I can confirm what FHL lacks in integrity, they are abundant in false promises and shady contracts. For a business to capitalize on circumstances such as pandemics and natural disasters with ZERO services rendered is disgusting. These are events that will be subsidized/ reimbursed by insurance and also recently by state and federal entities. But hey, why do the proper leg work when you can hang on to customers money while providing ZERO services? Despite constant communication on our part and very little response (the only being "everything's fine") , we were left with 3 days to resurrect an event 1 year in the works. And for context : The "sorry it's so close to your wedding date but you can reschedule some day in the next calendar year" bit falls INSANELY flat considering, if roles were reversed and I provided just 3 days notice of cancellation for my wedding day, I would have no ground to receive money back. It's ok for them to do it to us though ... hmmm . Disregard all out of state flights, hotels, rentals, time off from work, and continuous reassurance that everything was fine from the venue. Recommend Yelp allows zero stars

It is a cool old hotel, but even with the historical charm, it could use some updates/repairs. The toilet in our "shared" bathroom (not a fan) leaked. There was NO HOT WATER FOR SHOWERING! That is unforgivable! For $140 a night, I would expect at least hot water. Would not recommend unfortunately.Rooms: Small, cramped, outdated! You can still have historical charm and update the facilities to where you at least have hot water.Nearby activities: There is a small deli/bar nearby. Other than that, there is nothing to do!Walkability: They're really isn't anything in walking distanceFood & drinks: The food was wonderful. Unfortunately, all the other issues overshadowed the food. It's a pretty Wedding retreat, that you have to drive a mile and a 1/2 for the ceremony venue.
