I have had good work done at Ricks a few years ago and I trusted them. My CEL VSC & TRAC OFF lights would not turn off. A free diagnosis from Autozone indicated a faulty O2 sensor. I brought that paperwork to Ricks and asked them to fix my car and anything else needed. Keith gave me a verbal quote of $695. Again, I trusted them from past service. Agreed to the verbal quote.
The O2 sensor was replaced- CEL off. Unfortunately, VSC & TRAC OFF are still on. Rick's doesn't have the equipment to clear those codes/fix this problem on any LEXUS. They suggested I go to a dealer and try to get a free fix on an expired service bulletin/recall- no luck there.
I'm happy the CEL is off. I'm disappointed that I didn't get a full fix especially when I was told they are a full service shop that day by 2 different people. Sadly, I should have insisted on a printed quote and I will from now on.

I have been taking my cars to Rick's automotive for years. They are helpful, honest, reasonable in price and they have taken good care of my cars. Often, they have done something extra for me at no charge. Nice guys.

After almost 20 years of taking vehicles to Rick’s Auto, I haven’t found another garage that’s as knowledgeable, straightforward and has reasonable prices in the area.

I am a Forestville resident and I didn't hesitate taking my truck to a local shop when I had an issue with the heater. The diagnosis was done on the same day. We had a follow-up issue which ended up leaving me stranded. Keith was able to make it right at no extra charge. One can tell he's in the business for the long run and cares for his clients. He has my respect and recommendation.

Keith and his team are both professional and honest. I first towed it to the Honda dealer, who charged me $300 for nothing. Ricks's Auto was so kind and didn't charge me $300 to tell me what was wrong with it. Their focus is solely on the customer and my car was completed in two hours. I was blown away by their fast and fair prices. You would be foolish not to bring your car into the shop in Forestville.

Not a great experience. They did a diagnostic for me. Charged me $90, and then said it would be $350 to change the rear tire sensor. Not great to talk to, I had to pull information out of him. Called another repair shop near me and they said they would replace the sensor for $190.

A mechanic shop is a mechanic shop, right? Wrong! My car was at an auto shop, (the wrong one)... I was told "oh, that's where you work- buy another car" AND "its $1400, pay that & maybe we can diagnose at that point"Rick's Auto gave me the INFORMATION I needed to make a proper decision. They FIXED car I was ready to throw away for ONLY $306.That's GOOD BUSINESS! I wont go anywhere else again. Thank you!!!!!!

We moved to Santa Rosa 2 years ago, and soon after, we had car trouble. It was suggested that we go to Rick's Automotive as the owner, Keith, was one of our new neighbors. What I ended up finding was one of the best mechanics I've we've met, and also one of the most honest.So many times, they could've charged us more. For example, I brought my car up to them yesterday as a piece of the car had been pulled back by block in a parking space (those of you who use disabled parking know what I mean). The piece was scraping the floor and was dangerously close to my tire. Keith fixed it for free! He said that I was a good customer and it was too small to charge for.Obviously, Rick's Automotive has been around a long time due to the excellent relationships they've built up with clients.
