Harvest Market and it's counterpart in Mendocino are hands-down the best small scale grocery stores I have ever been in. Friendly, courteous employees and reasonable prices are a Hallmark of this store.

This has become more of a specialty gourmet boutique than the grocery store it used to be. There used to be a good selection of staple foods in regular and value sizes. It isn’t like that anymore. It is really more of a gourmet market and delicatessen now. The owner Tom is a decent guy and I wish him well but this store doesn’t meet my more humble expectations any longer. ? I don’t want to have to go to Safeway or drive to Ukiah for affordable food but there isn’t any option.

Kind of a whole foods type market. Quite a bit of high quality gourmet food, organic vegetables. Looks like they have a good deli.

What an unexpected surprise. Large selection of items, many of them specialty. Half of an isle of Kambucha and CBD drinks. Large cheese and bakery selections Made that day sandwiches but not made to order. A ridiculously large selection of baking sprinkles.

Harvest has so many options! Their cheese selection is bananas. The employees are helpful and friendly. On our last visit it was Gwen who engaged us in friendly conversation while she checked us out. Thanks Harvest!!

I was told I couldn't get my money back when I had my receipt and paid cash for a non-food item that wasn't damaged and was in its packaging because "HE DIDN'T KNOW ME". He might not remember me from high school and I do remember he has been at Harvest since way back then. He knows and has even worked with my family. So sorry to have put you out "R". I realize you have made this store your career. However, maybe your done working with the locals or people in general? Don't be such an A******.

Large selection of food and other goods with great service. The Boatyard Neighborhood Shopping Center Anchored by Harvest Market has the best mix of goods and services in Fort Bragg California.

Giving 3 stars because of the young guy at the seafood counter (curly brown hair, young, & slightly overweight). This young man seems to have a bad attitude in every encounter my partner & I have experienced with him. He did a poor job this evening bagging and wrapping up our seafood, causing juices to leak on our other grocery items & in his truck. Just make sure to put your seafood in a bag by itself. Other than that guy, the store & staff are wonderful!

Workers are very disrespectful & weird. Male cashiers make weird comments to women & also spy on customers. Management protects workers odd behavior instead of addressing customers concerns

Love this market for their deli section. There are items under the glass counter which they scoop for you and boxed prepared meals in the refrigerator. New boxed meal selections come out at 9am. And microwaves are on site so you can heat the food up. The meals with tin bottoms can go in their microwaves. The food tasted restaurant quality. Excellent: Thai curry chicken, Mixed vegetables, Cobb Salad, Grilled chicken pesto pastaGood: Tri Tip with Lentils, Indonesian chickenThe selection changes daily as the Thai curry and Tri Tip were available on a Sunday, but upon return on a Tuesday, the availability was different and Mexican food was the theme. There are great items in their fresh bakery section too: chocolate chip ice cream sandwich, chocolate chip cookies, almond cookies, garlic bread with cloves of garlic in it.The store also has a clothing and accessories section. The workers were friendly. They charge 10 cents per paper grocery bag if you don't bring your own. There are 2 locations, one in Fort Bragg and one in Mendocino.

Harvest in Fort Bragg has changed. They put a grouchy woman at customer service full time, the kind who treats you like you've done something wrong if you want to return something. I wanted to return, or get store credit, for two packages of GF Brown Rice fettuccini pasta and because I did not have my receipt, I was told no. The expiration on both packages was in 2025. I bought them for a dinner with friends at my place, so I know how recently the two packages were purchased (in the last two and a half weeks). I found what I preferred, a better GF brand, and spaghetti instead of fettuccini, at Down Home Foods, and used those for our dinner instead. Hence, I wanted to return the unopened, expiring in 2025, packages of dry Brown Rice GF Fettuccini pasta. Last year I spent over $7000 at Harvest Market. Their prices are higher than Whole Foods, or the three Co-ops I have routinely shopped at in the past, without the customer service that has accompanied those higher prices at the other markets. The family who owns Harvest -- how well are they living during these inflationary times? How would they want to be treated at their local family-owned grocery store? Over the past year, I have noticed Harvest using sales to push produce that is essentially about to go bad. Quite frankly, I've often been disappointed, because the produce at Harvest too often isn't what it should be, given their prices. That's why I sought out other options, even before the customer service fiasco that was the final straw. When Harvest refused to refund, or give me store credit, for the GF pasta, I told them they lost my loyalty -- and so they have. Down Home Foods has excellent customer service by comparison, and also better prices. Add to that the Farmer's Market (much better produce!), and Safeway or Purity, for stuff like Greek yogurt and I'm all set. NO MORE HARVEST! BTW, their Christmas trees are AWFUL. And I don't just mean this year, when everyone could see how awful they were because half the trees were delivered brown, but in 2021 I bought my tree at Harvest. It looked okay, but it wasn't a fresh tree, it never smelled great, and the needles began dropping a week later. Whatever Christmas tree vendor Harvest buys from, I think they prioritize profit over quality, which seems to be emblematic of the store in general these days. Harvest isn't worth the premium they charge! I advise you to shop elsewhere.

Amazing to have this store on the coast! Better than any WF's nowadays. Great selection of produce. Mercantile section with kitchen basics. Good selection of Mendocino County brands like Black Oak Coffee. Staff is always pleasant. One of my favorite natural markets anywhere.
