MacKerricher State Park is a great campground with amazing, large camp sites near the beach and a lake. It offers nice access to walking, bicycling, and boardwalk trails. The beach features small pebbles, black sand, amazing tide pools, and seals and birds. The facilities are pretty well kept, with nice, clean bathrooms that are being redone; the finished ones are beautiful. The location is hard to beat, close to town, though the water is minerally. It is often cool with an ocean breeze.
It was cold and windy...but only because it was the 4th! Still had a blast!

My first trip to Fort Bragg. Time allowed a couple of days. Beautiful scenery, the waves crashing on the beach was majestic! I want to visit again and hike/bike more of the trails.
