So much more beautiful and expansive than I guessed from all the information available online. I loved being able to take our dog with us on the trails and wow what a great walk/hike!

I went to the winter festival of lights. It was a great experience for everyone. I was able to purchase the tickets online and walk right in. There is plenty of handicap parking.I also did a mushroom identification course there several years ago.

Absolutely beautiful! A must see if you are in the area. Walking trails are nice, with options for steepness. For me the "steep" trails weren't an issue, wouldn't recommend doing them with a stroller though. From forest, a rose garden, open areas, creek trail with bridges to ocean bluffs there is a good amount to see. My favorites were the vegetable garden and the Dahlia Garden! The Dahlias were amazing! Easy parking, has restrooms in different areas. You can get food and there is a nursery as well.

This garden blew my mind! So many lovely sections to this garden, with charming paths to take you to each one. I went when the dahlias were in season and the colors were just beautiful but I loved all the gardens. An added bonus is the trail that takes you to the bluffs along the Fort Bragg coast! There is also a good cafe on site (yummy ice cream!). The staff and volunteers are all friendly and knowledgeable. This garden offers a lot, and I can't wait to go back again!

Absolutely beautiful Gardens. It costs $20 per person for non-locals. It's well worth it if you love plants. There's a large variety of flowers, trees, vegetables, herbs, shrubs, bushes, cactus and even some fruit plants. The dahlia garden is breathtaking. There's many different sections of plants and pathways to follow. One of my favorite sections was the showhouse for the flowers. Both restrooms and sitting benches are posted along the many paths, too. There are even plants available to buy and a gift shop/ Cafe on site.

This location was a beautiful way to spend an afternoon with the family. With two main paths and a plethora of paths snaking between the two, they had plenty to see and a lot of picture worthy areas. After all was said and done, my family had walked around 2 miles and finished our trip cooling off in the café area with some refreshing strawberry lemonade.

Beautiful gardens and best time to enjoy is during spring when everything blooms. There is self guided tour for people who wants to get more information. It's a great place to get your steps, past the gardens are great walking trail that leads to ocean views. We love coming here every year we spend our vacation in Fort Bragg. The food court isn't so bad either, small but decent selection of Cafe items to deserts for the little ones.

Stunning gardens! We traveled to CA to drive the CA Coast Hwy 1 from San Francisco to Leggett, CA. One of our planned stops was the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden because it’s the height of their dahlia season, and I’m a huge dahlia fan. We were not disappointed! The garden was spectacular! Absolutely full of blooms of all colors and variety! We missed the rhododendron and rose seasons, but the plants were huge and healthy so I’m sure the display was fantastic! We loved the succulents garden! The aloe plants were gigantic! The gift shop was excellent and had lots of items from seed packets to wind chimes and potted plants for sale. I was able to use my Cheekwood Botanical Garden membership for a free reciprocal admission! We at lunch at their on-site cafe! Delicious! See my review. The gardens are dog friendly and offer special programs throughout the year. They have a dedicated wheelchair accessible path as well as hiking paths through the garden to the bluffs above the ocean. We spent about 2.5 hours there including lunch. I highly recommend stopping there when traveling through Mendocino!

Loved it! This is a dog walker’s paradise with many plants and sweeping ocean views. Trails are well maintained and very accessible for Lucy, who is a 6lb toy Fox terrier. It’s a well spent 2-3 hrs of walking in the fresh air.

Nice spot. The rhododendrons were in bloom - spectacular!Lots of little paths to wander. It's not too large so you can't get lost.We went on a weekday - not crowded. No reservations needed. Weekends may be different.

Almost 50 acres of stunningly beautiful gardens that lead right to the coast. I visited during the time of year the rhododendrons were blooming which was just unbelievably gorgeous. The Rhody's at mendo gardens are unrivaled. Even if plants aren't your thing, the scenery alone is worth the trip. Check out the veggie garden too! Superb work and kudos to the staff and folk that make it happen
