My shipments for my small business have been crushed every single time I've dropped them off here. Have never had it happen at any other USPS

The employees at the Fortuna Post Office are always helpful. They are pleasant and willing to help me with any questions I have. They have offered me solutions on how to mail my items. They have a wide variety of stamps and I love that they have them available to look at.

My Masters Degree diploma, "Do Not Bend" was written on the package, was folded up and stuffed in my box. Same thing with my honor society certificate. Then, I received my neighbor's package on the same day that my other neighbor received a different neighbor's package & 2 of my packages (tracking showing as delivered) are missing. Do better, please. :(

Unfortunately we had an unkind treatment from this Fortuna post office on 7/17/20. A USPS personnel delivered a package to our front door, but the package was mistakenly delivered to us instead of its correct recipient, Walgreens in Puerto Rico. Our family orders items online from Walgreens due to the Covid lockdown. But upon checking the ship to address on the packing slip, I called the post office to inform them of the error and was instructed to write "Refuse" on the box. The USPS personnel picked up the item, but shortly returned the box accusing us of opening the package, which is untrue. A discussion was had with the USPS personnel and he basically threw the package in front of our garage. The next morning, a TV company was visiting my resident and noticed the box and the items that poured out of it onto the driveway (clips for shelves) and asked what happened. I explained the incident, the USPS action to "refuse" our request to take the package, but instead threw the box and the items fell out. The TV company disgusted by the look of the situation said, "it seems to be a disgruntle employee". This is sad story and frankly am disappointed with the way our USPS choose to service its community residents.

Unfortunately we had an unkind treatment from this Fortuna post office on 7/17/20. A USPS personnel delivered a box (a very unstable damaged box) to our front door, but the package was mistakenly sent to us instead of its correct recipient, Walgreens in Puerto Rico. Our family frequently order items online from Walgreens due to the Covid lockdown, ie. shampoo, medicine, and paper goods. Upon checking the 'ship to' address on the packing slip, I called the post office to inform them of the error and was instructed to write "Refuse" on the box. The USPS personnel picked up the item, but shortly returned the box accusing us of opening the package, which is untrue. A discussion was had with the USPS personnel on my driveway and he basically threw the package in front of my garage. Coincidentally, the next morning, a TV company was visiting my resident and noticed the box and the items that poured out of it onto the driveway (clips for shelves) and asked what happened. I explained the incident: USPS REFUSED our request to take the package back and instead threw the box in front of my garage whereby the items fell out. The TV company disgusted by the look of the situation said, "it seems to be a disgruntle employee". This is a sad story and frankly am disappointed with the way our USPS had chosen a negative way to service its community resident who is trying to survive this Covid situation.

I have been going here for 8 years and I have always been delighted in the high quality service. I own a small online business and all the packages I have sent out over the last 3 years have made it on time if not early. The staff has always been knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I travel frequently to Arcata, passing by other post offices, but I always choose the Fortuna office because of their reliability. I have had nothing but positive experiences here!

To the usps driver on February 26th at night through 27th must have had a all nighter because I received my package a day early thanks to that person who drove and took very gentle care of my car mod!

Staff in the office has always been helpful and respectful, but I've had issues with some of their carriers. Seems like some of them only want to deliver my packages when it's convenient for them. Not only that, but I've had a few arrive damaged. From now on, I'm requesting delivery through UPS or Fed Ex. I've never had issues with packages delivered or shipped through them.

The 'matron' looks like she died ten years ago and she is the rudest c*** I've ever encountered. RETIRE ALREADY. I cannot even count the number of times my packages have been delivered to who knows where...if they don't feel like picking up outgoing mail they will just skip our block...unbelievable!!! lazy stupid and liars
