The food is so good. The steak pizza is the best. And you can't beat empanada Tuesdays.

This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves Argentinean cuisine. As a native of Argentina, I was blown away by the quality and authenticity of the dishes. The empanadas were crispy and flavorful, the panqueque con dulce de leche was heavenly, and the pizza with a Quilmes was the perfect combination. I felt like I was back in my home country, enjoying the best food ever. This is a place I will definitely return to and recommend to everyone. Don't miss it!

Such a great experience! The food was very good and maybe more importantly, authentic. Service was exceptional, thank you, Daniel. A bit of a drive, but well worth it. We'll definitely be back.

With the positive reviews, the food was disappointing. Don’t recall of ever having salty sauce pasta! We had to add lemon juice to help balance it out and it still didn’t work. Order their chicken empanadas, one was dried and the other one was not fresh!

Cambalache Grill, an Argentinian restaurant ensconced in Fountain Valley, entices patrons with a tantalizing array of appetizers, entrees, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, and steaks. Yearning to delve into their steak prowess, I ventured forth, selecting their most renowned offering, the Entrana Cambalache. The Entrana Cambalache ($32), accompanied by a side of one's choosing (salad, fries, or vegetables), showcased a 10-ounce grilled skirt steak, generously adorned with their celebrated chimichurri sauce. I opted for the side salad, a symphony of crisp greens, vibrant onions, piquant olives, juicy tomatoes, and a light vinaigrette dressing, though it lacked the complexity and depth of flavor I had anticipated. Venturing into the realm of the steak, my request for a medium-rare preparation resulted in a steak that leaned more towards medium, exhibiting a slight resistance to the knife. The steak, though not disagreeable, lacked the depth of flavor I had anticipated. Fortunately, the chimichurri sauce, with its zesty herbal profile, injected a much-needed jolt of flavor, transforming the steak from mundane to mildly memorable. While the steak, with the assistance of the chimichurri sauce, proved to be a satisfactory meal, I have encountered skirt steaks of superior flavor and tenderness elsewhere. Additionally, the pricing, particularly in light of the steak's unremarkable performance, struck me as somewhat excessive. In conclusion, Cambalache Grill's Entrana Cambalache, while not entirely disappointing, failed to meet my expectations. The steak, though adequately cooked, lacked the depth of flavor I had hoped for, and the pricing, in my estimation, did not align with the overall dining experience.

I can't believe that I have not been here yet! I've lived in this area since I was little, I always saw this restaurant, but I never tried it. It's in a quiet little shopping center. The restaurant is decently space inside, they do have tables for large parties, which is great. There is also outdoor seating. The menu is quite extensive, mainly sandwiches, some pasta, dishes, and some main courses. They also have pizza! I came with my family, so we had a little bit of everything. The pizza was decent, nothing spectacular. I did get the risotto with asparagus and shrimp, it was good. We got a steak sandwich, which was amazing! And then we also got the skirt steak, this was the best dish by far this was recommended to us by our server. The meat was just so juicy and flavorful. Service was great, pretty standard. They were very friendly, but it was kind of busy so service was a little slow.

So I was a bit skeptical about a place claiming Argentinian and Italian food. I'm not accustomed to seeing epanadas and pizza on the same menu. It's a cute little place. We went with a group of 5 on a Saturday night, so we made a reservation. We saw quite a few people coming on for Togo orders. We opted to order a mix of things and share. We went with the meat platter but substituted the sweetbreads and blood sausage for more ribs and skirt steak. The meats were all really wonderful. We chose roasted potatoes for the side and were surprised at how big that was. They were good and crispy. We added a side of veggies... these were good but nothing special. The gnocchi with pink sauce was tender and creamy. We also ordered the potato salad, and that was a hit. We added the prosciutto and basil pizza. Great flavor, but the crust was a bit dry. Overall a great experience! We were celebrating some birthdays as well so they brought out 2 free tiramisu and sang. We'll definitely be back.

We had reservations for dinner and were seated within a few minutes. The restaurant is fairly roomy and was 80% full for dinner with mostly boomers. We ordered fried calamari, a beef empanada, and the parrillada mixta medium rare. We were also served thick sliced french better and butter while we waited. Calamari was perfectly fried without being greasy; standard and enjoyable. The beef empanada was more greasy but the beef filling was very flavorful. However, the parrillada mixta was not good. All the meats were well done, difficult to chew, and were not salvageable by dousing in chimichurri. I ate a bite of each meat and didn't want any more. I overheard other diners raving about their platters so we may have ordered the wrong item. The service was good and all our orders came in a timely manner. However, I left unsatisfied and quite disappointed.

The quality of the food is excellent. However, I can't give it 5 stars because the management side of the restaurant is extremely poorly ran. I had a reservation, and because there were people waiting, my reserved table was given to someone else. Prepare to spend 2 to 3 hours at the restaurant. It took me 1.5 hours to get my food! Food is prepared and cooked to order, however, the place is very unorganized, and not staffed properly. I hope Cambalache can get its act together, otherwise it would be a great loss to see them go out of business. This point is very important because the location is not prime, and they probably rely heavily on peer marketing.

It’s like they picked up their restaurant from Buenos Aires and dropped it in HB. Their food is incredible, their wine selections wonderful and absolutely stellar service from Jose, who has helped us multiple times. Plus they have Argentinian goodies for sale. We drive down from Long Beach for this - def recommend!
