This is the only NFCU in the area so the bank itself can get a little crowded and depending on the time and day you go, you can have trouble finding parking as this NFCU is located in the back of a shopping center. I've only ever went inside once but it was clean, the clerks were nice and super helpful. There's two ATMs outside and I've never had any issues with them. Lately they've had cobwebs on them so I wish they could wipe those down every once in a while but it's exposed to the elements so it's to be expected.

Had to go to branch to get replacement debit card as it was comprised. They changed the card number. Don't fall for the texting scams. Thank Navy Federal in advance for reversing the charges that there criminals were stealing.

I visited today the Navy Federal branch in Fountain Valley to do a wire transfer, and I had a pleasant experience overall. I specifically want to recognize and commend Caleb for his exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in, he greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. Caleb was knowledgeable about the wire transfer process and guided me through each step, ensuring that I understood everything clearly. He patiently answered all my questions and addressed any concerns I had, which gave me great confidence in the transaction. It was evident that he genuinely cared about providing excellent service to customers. Not only was Caleb helpful and efficient in handling my wire transfer, but he also took the time to engage in friendly conversation. He had a friendly and approachable demeanor that made me feel comfortable during the entire process. It's rare to find a banking professional who can strike a balance between professionalism and friendliness, and Caleb definitely exceeded my expectations. The branch itself was clean, organized, and had a comfortable waiting area. The staff, including Caleb, were all friendly, professional, and eager to assist customers. My wait time was minimal, and I appreciated the level of efficiency displayed by the entire team. The only reason I'm not giving this review a perfect 5-star rating is because there were a couple of small hiccups during the process that required minor adjustments. Despite these minor inconveniences, Caleb's dedication and exemplary customer service more than made up for it. In conclusion, my experience at Navy Federal in Fountain Valley was positive, thanks to the outstanding service provided by Caleb. I strongly recommend anyone needing assistance with a wire transfer or any banking needs to seek out Caleb at this branch. I will definitely be returning in the future for my banking needs!

Pay close attention to you balance here! I actually really like this bank and this branch specifically and have gone there for a few years, but in January of this year I opened one of their promotional CDs. THEY made a mistake with my balance transfer from my savings to create the CD. I walked out of the branch with a paper saying you have x amount of dollars in your CD. A few weeks later I go in to make a deposit and my CD balance is a few hundred LOWER then the day I opened it! Called then to find out what's going on, I get the run-around on the phone and then after an hour I ask them to have a manager call me back. NEVER GOT A CALL BACK, go into the branch the next week and after about an hour I find out that THEY had made a mistake with my a balance months ago and once they noticed it they removed the funds from my CD without ever telling me! No call and no letter. I think this is unacceptable and a huge oversight on their part. Mistakes happen but altering my balance without telling me is not right. I forced them to close the CD that day. Still contemplating taking all of my money out of there after this mistake.

Still can't believe they treated meSo bad . I hope they see the surveillance footage on the discrimination investigation while these "bankers" had just one persons (me ) and ten of them all ignoring me and telling me to calm down and don't be rude while they totally ignore me for like 10 minutes straight . I guess they're used to counting other peoples money and can't be happy for their own client and it must really be terrible . to hate their jobs so much , that they behave this way in an abusive fashion . SMH and get a kick out of telling me to lower my voice . If I had anyones attention in the first place I would not have had to beg for it ! I'll thank myself for my service this Veterans Day . And try to never step foot in this establishment unless I have an ESCORT accompany me so I can get the respect I - and everyone - deserves !!!!!

Talk to a real person more than 10 minutes And nif they didn't t know the answer or what to do, the asked. They're superior which I respect a lot.Ty NFCU for all your help.

I have been a member of NFCU for around 30 years. Today I walked into the branch to make a deposit and I was disappointed by the lack of customer service! From the 2 at the front who 'greet' you to the teller, not a smile, not a hi, how are you?", not a look in the eye. It's unfortunate that such a great credit union has such poor customer service!

This particular branch has an issue with asking for identifying documents, then running down all of your business in front of other customers. This has happened to many people and it needs to stop!

Incompetent!!!! omg! for 4 years in a row, I received hate mail from this bank. they would send me a letter at the beginning of every year with my name And social security # and a threat: I needed to send in my correct name and social security # OR they would take 25% of my money and give it to the government if I don't comply!!!! every year I hand deliver my information which is identical to the name and ss in their letter and assure them that this is me. this year I asked the Young uncaring man: what do I have to do to get you all to stop sending the letters. This is never convenient since I must take time out of my day every year to hand deliver my information and I want this stopped. He told me that I must go to the Social Security office and get a letter stating that I am Me!!! It doesn't matter that I have a ss card issued by the SS office! lol lol, and yes He was serious!! what kind of special incompetence is this!! I closed my accounts! they win... it is clear they did not want or deserve my business.

We had been with Bank of America for years. However, the current BOA is not the same as it was. I will save that for another review. Navy Fed is much smaller and more personal. There are people at the entrance who can direct you to the right person. Best of all, there is hardly any wait for a teller, as opposed to BOA where the wait can be interminable.

Been a member for many years. Went to the branch on Brookhurst in Orange County. I was in and out in less than ten minutes. The person that helped me was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She was very polite and didn't try to rush me to get done. Good branch, good people.

Many years ago, I really loved Navy Federal Credit Union. I recently decided to leave big banking and take 2 very large accounts back to them. I am no longer active duty, but a veteran who was actually proud to be returning to do business with them. There is no way to express just how completely stunned, and disappointed at my experience over the last few months. I have not had a working account yet, all due to things that hsv3 been completely out of my control, and through no fault of chase, which is one of the banks I was transferring from. Then to top it off, I have had such horrible experiences with rude representatives on the phone. Along with 2 times being placed on hold for 42 minutes on one call, fir which I finally hung up because I knew they were at that point closed, and I could be holding until the next day. Then to be told I should plan to be on hold for over an hour, just to get them to turn loose of money they took from my chase account, and though I have gone into branches to show my identity, they still will not close the account that they apparently opened just to get my money from chase, but then will not let me have access to no matter what I do. Needless to say, I'm absolutely not leaving chase for an institution that operates like this. I do notknow what happened to them, but it is not the same Navy Federal I was once a member of. There is no way I would entrust them with 200 dollars, much less 200k after this experience is finally handled. I'm not sure how they could still even be in business, given what this experience has been like. I am shocked that anyone would entrust them with anything. It has been such an inexcusable, and unpleasant experience from the start, and I only got as far as having them transfer the money from chase to open the account. I guess the only good thing to come from this, is that they have only held me in this hostage situation with a smaller transfered amount of money from my chase account. I did not leave chase, nor did I transfer a large amount to Navy Federal, so they harmed me no further than just several months of being an absolute maddening nonsensical outrageous business model, disregard, disrespect of my time, while holding the money they managed to take from my bank account with Chase hostage, my going into branches to prove my identity OVER AND OVER, being tossed around, cut off, hung up on, or put on hold to infinity, etc., I will eventually finally be done with this hassle, and this institution and whatever happened to it forever. Thank GOD!! So I cannot at all ever again recommend navy federal credit union for anything, most especially business as important as ones finances. That's for sure.
