Shout out to Dr. Le for being the only professional in our experience here. We were concerned about our visit to MemorialCare Fountain Valley due to the age of hospital. This was vindicated when confronted with the level of care provided to us. On our visit to the ER. Nurse Jenna C. was assigned to us and showed a complete lack of interest in doing the bare minimum of nursing care to the point of passive aggressive ignorance. If she is representative of the quality of staff this organization employs then I have serious concerns about the ability of MemorialCare to handle patient care and safety at a systemic level. In short, avoid this place if you can. There are other, newer, hospitals that are better suited to serve you and your loved ones. Something interesting I wanted to add, the nursing staff here apparently blocks out their last names on their identification so it's harder to report them. If it was a safety thing then why don't the doctors do the same thing?

I came in Saturday, March 16, 2024 to the ER as my face was dropping on my left side. The two nurses I had were Reggie and Verena! They both were sympathetic with my condition. They were friendly and caring. I felt like I was dealing with my two best friends instead of a hospital! They took the time to explain what each procedure was and tell me why! I have never been treated with more respect at a hospital! Orange Coast Memorial should be proud of these two nurses! Thank you Reggie and Verena!

I delivered both of my babies at Orange Coast Memorial and couldn't be more happy. I love the maternity ward nurses. They're the sweetest and most compassionate humans. The nurses that took care of me were so helpful and made great efforts to make me feel comfortable while being there. My only complaint is the management need to look into their Asian or more specifically Vietnamese nurse(s). I'm not sure if it's an isolated incident but both times that I was there, I was being treated poorly by both Viet nurses. I am Vietnamese myself and they made me feel like they were superior than me because of the position they were in. They were not accomodating and were bossy at times. I hope the management look into this and make sure it does not occur again. Especially for the women that have the language gaps, imagine how bad they would feel having to deal with such treatment after giving birth. My only recommendation for the ladies that could communicate in English, just make sure they don't assign any Viet nurses to you. Overall, I'm still giving it 5 stars because I'm truly grateful to all the other nurses that have done an exceptional job.

This was my first time going to Orange Coast Memorial care. The emergency department had a short wait, which was amazing to me. Every employee I encountered was beyond exceptional. They worked as a team no one seems to act like they were superior JUST READY to help. There were 2 crying babies and a nurse came out with stuffed teddy bears and they stoped crying. I had no idea there was a difference in emergency rooms. Long Beach Memorial was my go to hospital for many years. I thought all hospitals had 5+ hour wait. To be fair Long Beach, Medical Center is trauma ER center. It was a blessing it's only 15 minutes away. The level of care I received I thought perhaps I had concierge service. My prayers were answered. I was so impressed with Dr. Goldstein and DrBhardwaj I am making follow up appointments with both. I have been thinking of changing my Pulmonary Dr for the last year. I hadn't has an Infectious disease doctor since mine died several years ago. Both agreed to work with my Internist Dr Leo, located in Long Beach and National Jewish hospital Denver, Colorado I am home and my hard work started to gain my strength back.

I came on Feb 22 to emergency for chest pain. The emergency staff was excellent and really busy with all the patients! I was transferred upstairs to Room 388B for continued care! The nurses and doctors were all so nice and making sure I had everything I needed! When signing out the lady was so helpful and getting my new medicine! The staff was amazing, thankful for their help and kindness shown to me! We became friends! I was released on Feb 23 around 5 PM. God Bless you as you have blessed me!!Thank you!! Linda Okerstrom

I recently had open heart surgery on 01-12-24, and spent 6 days at Orange Coast Memorial Center (Fountain Valley) in the ICU/ Telemetry units.I was treated so well and with such kindness and compassion. It truly made the difference during a difficult time.Dr. Hargrove and her entire staff are absolutely incredible. I can’t say enough about them. Orange Coast is very lucky to have them.I also want to thank the nighttime nurse I had in the ICU the 2 nights following my surgery. Her first name was Mikayla. She clearly stood out as an outstanding nurse. You rarely come across people as exceptional as she is. I never had the chance to thank her and express my heartfelt gratitude for how she treated me.

Suellen, Memorial Care's cancer program operations support lead, came to visit me while I received my first chemo treatment. The nurses on the 4th floor are so welcoming and reassuring. Suellen came in and helped me pick out this sassy wig! She brought me the sweetest gifts from volunteers. How thoughtful of these men and women to think of us in this situation. Suellen- you rock, girlfriend! Memorial Care- The resource program is such a comfort addition to your hospital. Cancer is hard enough, but you are a special hospital. You make the patients well- but also loved and supported... and seen. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being on this journey with me!

Not a good hospital. Most doctors and nurses are not caring for their patients. Do yourself or your loved ones a favor , don't come here ! Head pulmonologist Hoang Le spent little to no time talking to me about my dad's condition , acting like he was in a rush all the time, even walked away when I was still asking questions. Nurses asked family members the same question "are you gonna be here with the patient overnight? " and complained how they also have to take care 3 other patients . It felt like you inconvenient them every time you asked for help. My dad was suffering from side effects of meds but they kept giving it without checking.

My wife fainted while under there care and hit her head. And they made me pay for all medical bills due to this incident. Very poor management. Didn't take any responsibility whatsoever. Buyer beware.

Every time I go here they blame everything on anxiety, or that your drug seeking. Every single hospital I've been to treated me like a druggie I'm not. I got care somewhere else and they actually figured it out and just not send me on my way, they actually test me and treat me unlike this place. Fuck America healthcare I'll never ever go to a hospital in my life again. Not worth it anymore.

Dr Rhee and his staff at the ER were great. Tonight was busy, but they made sure to admit, CT scan and diagnose within 2 hours. All medications given, school notes and prescriptions ordered in that 2 hours as well. Da best!

I was here for a hip replacement and had to stay overnight on the orthopedic floor. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care I got! John, Winnie, Trish, and all the nurses were absolutely WONDERFUL!! They are extremely kind, professional, and fun to talk to, also! I would definitely refer this hospital to anyone!!!
