“I ended up across the street from the Chevron during the pipeline explosion chaos near Castaic Lake (where all freeways going to Los Angeles were closed). I was on my motorcycle in summer gear and I was getting dangerously cold. The employees in the chevron pointed me over here when I asked to buy warm clothes.
There was an older woman working who was unbelievably kind and helpful. She got me set up with warm clothes fast (at fantastic prices too!), and she even let me change in the store so I could get out of freezing gear and stop shivering. No attitude, no rushing me, just pure kindness when I really needed it.
I don’t say this lightly: this place (and that woman) may have genuinely saved me from a bad situation. Thank you.”
