If your pet has an eye emergency, please save yourself time and money and bring your dog here rather than going to other vets. It's expensive but your pet will get the best treatment. I had to bring in my English bulldog for a corneal ulcer which later ended up rupturing. It was the worst time for a pet owner seeing my dog suffer, but Dr. Chen saved his eye with surgery, and his staff really took care of him. Dr. Chen was quick to get back to me with questions through email or by phone, and really cared for my dog. If I know something is up with my dogs eyes, I will bring him here instead of going somewhere else.

My cat potsticker has been battling with bad uveitis for three years. We have been going to the Animal eye specialist at Campbell all times since it was the closest location to my home. I kinda wish if I discovered this location earlier since we received such a wonderful care from everyone at the Animal eye care. Sadly the best option for potsticker is to remove the sick left eye but he has been so much happier post the surgery. I am so grateful to get my old active friend back, he also looks the coolest ? + the cutest now. I am very impressed by Dr Chen’s professional technics. The stitches were so tiny and meticulous. Dr Cleymaet was also so sweet and reviewed the scar area so carefully post stitches removal. All the nurses who help us before and after the surgery were so kind, caring and wonderful. The front desk staffs were also so sweet. The surgery price was totally reasonable and worth the cost. In a summary I would give more than five stars if Google allows.

Sent my dog home first appt with 4 different eye drops and no cone. He then proceeded to scratch at his “Good eye” infect it and cause corneal eye ulcer. That eye now needs to come out. They schedule weekly check ups which run$300-500 per visit — my dog is almost 15. Ridiculous that is where we are at after 6 weeks of drops. At over $2,500 and dog worse than when started. Now needs surgery to be comfortable. Place needs to be more forthcoming with elderly dogs

This is the 3rd eye vet I’ve been to in the last couple of years when my dog started having issues with his eyes and went blind in one, and the ONLY vet who could figure out what was wrong and treat him. So happy and relieved.

I always feel that my pet is in good hands. The staff is gentle and sympathetic to his tendency for anxiety.

Dr. Hamilton was wonderful to our pup, Tiny, who tends to mistrust people. She and her staff are calm and patient with animals, so skidish dogs like Tiny become more cooperative as they are examined.

I'm dog sitting for my son and I had the good fortune to have to bring his German Shepard Sage in for a check up after being diagnosed with Pannus in both eyes. The level of care for Sage and myself was nothing short of spectacular! They took their time, weren't afraid of Sage and Sage responded so well with them. I wish I could recall the technician that came to the car to get us but she was truly helpful every step of the way. Dr. Thomas Chen has an excellent demeanor for working with animals. So calm easy going, patient and THOROUGH! I came away feeling so much better in helping Sage battle this condition. Glad my son found such a great facility! I wish I was a canine, I'd make them my doctor that's how pleased I was with them. Thank you so much for helping us help Sage.

JC the tech was amazing. She was patient and explained everything well. She took a comprehensive history and when we met Dr. Chen (who was also amazing), he was well briefed and I didn't have to repeat anything. I was thrilled they had an opening (last minute cancellation) and my baby was treated well. Dr. Chen was able to remove the foreign body from my dog's eye without much fuss (or he down-played the severity and has a great bedside manner) Regardless, I'd recommend this place any day of the week and twice on Tuesdays! :-D

Our dog Riley had a mass on his eyelid that needed to be removed. He also has inflammatory bowel disease and acid reflux so we were concerned about the possibility of him having reflux and aspirating during surgery. We live on the peninsula and called an opthalmologist near us first. We got a really bad feeling about the place from the initial phone call and reviews, so decided to drive across the bay to see Dr Chen at Animal Eye Care. So very glad that we did! The staff is friendly, welcoming to both pets and pet parents and highly professional. I was able to go in with Riley to his pre surgery appointment and talk with Dr Chen. I found him to be compassionate, caring and knowledgeable. Riley had his surgery this morning and all is well. He's home and resting. They were great on every level. I highly recommend them.

Doctor Tomas Chen is "The Miracle Worker" not only he saved my dog's life, but he was able to reverse some of the damaged caused by another vet who blinded my beautiful service animal and almost killed him. I am so grateful for Doctor Chen, he is very talented and brilliant doctor.

These guys are the best. They are very thorough in their exams and knowledgeable about their specialty. They were super gentle with my dog and they have a great set up out side while checking in and out.

I brought my 15 yo Shihtzu, Bebeto, here for his corneal ulcer to be treated and Dr. Chen and the vet tech was amazing. They did a corneal debridement and we had a 2 week recheck which at that time he didn't heal so Dr. Chen offered to wait an additional 2 weeks to give him more time. His corneal ulcer was still present unfortunately at the time of the recheck. We talked about future options for what to do next. Dr. Chen was so kind and responded to all my questions via email in a timely manner and explained our options with surgery going forward. Fast forward to the day of surgery Dr examined his eye once more and called me saying his eye actually looks good and he doesn't see the need to go forward with the surgery since he is comfortable with no squinting! Best news I could have gotten!! Huge thanks to Animal eye care in Fremont!! We appreciate you so much!
