Ugh, I had the WORST experience here! And to be clear, this review is for the Caliber located at 41703 Albrae St. For some reason there are like 3 Caliber Collisions within a roughly 3 block radius of one another. I can't speak to the other two, but 41703 is a hard pass from me. My car sustained cosmetic damage when I backed into a low retaining wall during a rainstorm. I created a buckle in the rear quarter panel, but the tail lights were unaffected (still fully functional) - just slightly out of place. I ask that you keep in mind that my damage was of a cosmetic nature, though, as that is pertinent to what happens later in this story. The only reason I took my car here is because when my preferred body shop submitted their estimate for $6.2k, State Farm came back and mailed me a check for $3k. When I called my agent and asked WTF was up, he told me, in a nutshell, "too bad, so sad, if you want your entire cost covered, you'll need to go to one of our in-network body shops." Caliber's initial estimate was $4.6k, which seemed reasonable to me, so I agreed. I was told, upon drop-off, that I would be texted on M, W, and F with updates. Two weeks go by with NO WORD from Caliber. My assumption is that maybe they've ordered a part and it's taking longer to arrive than expected. At the two week mark, though, I hit my limit, and call to request an update. I'm told they're having trouble with the repairs, and they'll keep me posted. I wait another week, again with with no word from Caliber. I call them - we're now at the end of 3 weeks with no real updates. At this point, I am bluntly informed that they have submitted a new estimate to State Farm, and the new estimate is NINE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS. In other words, their original estimate was off by over 100%. So I call State Farm. I am told that my car has been unilaterally totaled, without so much as even a courtesy call. Had I known this was the path that we'd be going down, I would've requested to just cancel the entire repair. However, I was never offered this option. State Farm tells me I can take possession of my car again if I deduct $2,500 from the payout they intend to give me. Fine. The car is completely functional - I'm not buying a new car when my existing car only has 100k miles on it and is fully paid off. I communicate to Caliber that I'm going to retake possession of my car. My service rep says ok - I'll need to fork over $400 to reimburse them for the cost of putting my car back together and sign a form before they release the car to me. This is where it gets gnarly. I go in to retrieve my car, pay the balance due, and am then presented with the form I need to sign. It's a boilerplate, CYA release of liability that requires that I acknowledge that my "vehicle is in a dangerous, defective, and unsafe condition and should not be operated under any circumstances", and that my vehicle "may cause SERIOUS BODILY INJURY OR DEATH TO PERSONS OR SEVERE DAMAGE TO PROPERTY in or near the vehicle." This is where it is important that you recall that the damage to my car is purely cosmetic. I have a buckle in the sheet metal of the rear quarter panel, and that's it. But according to them, my car is unfit to drive under any circumstances. I initially refuse to sign the form, at which point I am told that my car will not be released to me without signing the form. I argue with the service rep - why would I sign when the damage to my car is purely cosmetic? He agrees that the form is "extreme" in my case, but refuses to back down. How is that legal?? I would argue that what they're doing, at least in my situation, is unlawfully withholding my property. It would certainly make for a good civil suit, anyway. However, who's got the time or resources for a "David vs Goliath" battle like that? And of course - Caliber knows it. They've got you by the short ones. After scrawling "COSMETIC DAMAGE ONLY" across the top of the f

Helpful folks. Kept up to date on status of the repair. Also offered to keep the rental with them for Enterprise to pick up when I came to pick my car up, an option I didn't know existed.

I had my car repaired here and when they returned it, it had someone else's license plate on the car. The customer is poor, gives you the run around and left me on hold for 30 minutes.Service: Body & Trim

This is the true example of a business that is looting insurance companies and individuals . Yesterday I went to get a quote for fixing rear bumper of my friend’s car which had paint chip-off . They quoted almost $4k and a couple of days to fix it. I went to other place where I got a quote of $450 and one day to fix it. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone . My parked car was struck on 7/4/22. I called Caliber on 7/5/22. I have been informed that I MAY get my car back on 10/1/22. The people are nice and hard working and I expect a good result. But a 3 month(!) process represents a high level of disorganization. If that kind of time commitment is ok with you, then consider Caliber.Services: Painting
