There is an employee who is very rude and of Asian origin. They treated the trainee not well. I went today and put the scans on and then I went back to the car because I forgot something and the rude young man told me to close again. I told him a minute ago I put the scans on and he told me I didn't remember you. This is not good treatment and I am very upset about this. Rude person

Their treadmill's are always broken, half of their weight machines don't work properly and even though I see an occasional sign on a machine here and there that they are due to be fixed....nothing ever seems to happen. I've seen the same treadmills broken for the past few years, with nothing done about them. Oh, and most of the time the sinks in the bathroom don't work. It's really frustrating. I've been a member since they opened many many years ago, and I've stayed a member purely for the convenience of how close they are to me...however at this point in time I'm going to start looking around for another gym.... They charge too much for having to deal with broken machines constantly! I'm going to add some pictures on my next visit to add some context.

I've been going to City Sports in Fremont for a while now and ever since they remodeled the gym about a year ago a lot of the machines have broken down and or started becoming loose/worn becoming potential injury risks. There's at least 5 workout machines I see that are broken and have not been repaired in 4-5 months. I've told the workers at the front about them and they told me they'll get them fixed but nothing gets done, they put a broken sign on the machine but it never gets fixed and it's been months. Also, there's like 10 machines that do work but are extremely loose and clunky injury risks waiting to happen. I've been ignoring it and just using other machines but this is getting out of hand, an older lady was working out next to me and she didn't know what was wrong with the hack squat because it was loose and she slipped and hurt her knee. I don't have any other complaints about the gym or workers. It's a decent gym, it's just the equipment that needs to be maintained.

I've been coming to this gym for 3+ years now and decided to finally write a review for my overall impressions. The good: 5 squat/deadlift platforms available, lots of machines to target pretty much any part of your body, plenty of cardio options (including an indoor bike room), and pretty clean environment overall (the staff make sure to wipe down the equipment and floor often). The bad: honestly the only gripe that I have with this place is the time it takes for them to repair broken machines. For example, the last time 1 of the 2 leg press machines broke down, it took them MONTHS to finally get it repaired and in a usable state. Even now, half of the cable machines are broken - either the pulley system is loose or the cables themselves are snapped in half - and we've been waiting months for them to fix it. Currently, one of the horizontal rowing machines has been broken for 6+ months now as well. This leads to these machines being overcrowded and almost impossible to find a spot for, especially during peak hours.

Bathroom cleanliness improved. Member price is a bit high. Wish they could open longer hours on the weekend. They close at 8pm on the weekends.

If you work a typical 9-5 don't come to this gym it will be constantly busy. I liked this gym when I joined last spring until they closed off 80% if the turf area for personal training. If you aren't here to use only machines good luck finding any free space to train and good luck finding the dumbbells you need. People are always hoarding benches, dumbbells and mats. No one puts anything away. It's your typical commercial gym, useless.

I wanted to love this city sports but I don't. Can we start with the fact that the squat racks don't have ANYTHING to sit on and rest betweeen sets which for me is a first. Now let's talk about the assholes who think it's okay to use two machines at the same time that aren't even next to each other. This guy was using a squat rack AND A bench press. I asked him if I could use the squat rack since there are none open and he's mainly on the bench press. He said give him 10 minutes. 10 minutes later he leaves the squat rack and says "it's all yours" .. he couldn't even be bothered to take ANYYY of his weights off so I spent the first ten minutes cleaning up his mess before I could start my sets. BLAH to this place

I had a disappointing experience at City Sports. The $50 fee felt like a waste. Machines are constantly malfunctioning, posing safety risks, and the disarray of dumbbell weights is a hazard. The restrooms were unsanitary with visible mold.
