10 year old me was distraught when he learned all the books with a thing inside them were on hold for someone else. It would have been the start of my villain arc but I never came back here so who cares. Place is big and intimidating. My sister had an interview with Princeton here before.

Building isn't fancy but I like coming here a lot. Large collection of donated books that sell for cheap, community events, right across from kaiser too. Now that I have a toddler I bring her along too as they have tons of kids activities.

Bustling, vibrant, useful, interesting, helpful. All the things a library needs to be, plus a resource to the community.

I come here frequently and l often need help with printing, faxing, and copying. I am patient but rarely have I had to wait for assistance. I greet and thank each associate and have always been treated with kindness and respect at the main library. I appreciate their resources.

NOT A WELCOMING LIBRARY
Recently I went to the fremont library for a puppet making event with my kid, one of the staff member(Indian) in childrens front desk area was giving away the tickets to the craft event, she enquired me
about my kids age & also my kid as well, she had a problem regarding the age, so she started TALKING RUDE ABOUT ME & my ATTIRE in front of my fellow moms, making me embarrassed, but at that point of moment I just want to move away from her, but she kept on going away with her RUDE COMMENTS with me, if it really affect the rules of the library she can just keep the tickets with her, but giving COMMENTS on me & MY ATTIRE (modest wear) was really not welcoming, making me uncomfortable to get out from the library asap, I just want the library members to know , she behaved like a racist & not welcoming certain community members, as long as I know fremont library was a welcoming all type of communities throughout the world without any discrimination, but not anymore. Kindly educate that staff member (Indian)in children front desk how to speak in a welcoming manner to all the people without discrimination.

I love the library itself, the cleanliness, the space, and the events held here BUT it's the loudest library i've ever been in. I mean, people using there outside voices where the acoustics make your voice radiate into areas where people are trying to read and study is quite annoying. What ever happened to the librarian of old that went around saying "shhh" to people having a high decibel conversation? We live in a time where it's not implied that you need to be quiet in a place of reading and studying.

A really nice place. It has been kept nicely, and the system is really modern with self-checkouts and self-retrieve shelving systems.
