I switched to Irvington Pet Hospital earlier this year; I was initially concerned over some bad ratings online but have had amazing experiences there so far with the new ownership/team. I never had any issues scheduling appointments and was even able to get a same day appointment one time for an urgent matter. The staff is very friendly and professional. I enjoyed my interactions with the technicians and appreciate how gentle they were with my pet. Dr. Kasuya is extremely knowledgeable; he genuinely cares about pets and was always very thorough in examining, diagnosing, and treating my dog. Overall, I’m glad I made the switch to this clinic and would highly recommend for both their medical expertise and customer relations.

We had the best annual exam with Dr. Hoshizaki. Sadie is 16 and it was reassuring to have such a thorough physical exam. Everyone in the office was helpful and considerate.

Professional and efficient service. I have never had a bad experience here, even when my cat decided to be uncooperative. I would take any pet that I owned to this veterinarian hospital

Save your money and take your beloved pet elsewhere. I've read other posts about this place regarding their exorbitant fees, and I completely agree! Took my dog there 3 times in two months for an ear infection. First visit was $800+, second visit was $500+, and yesterday, third visit, they quoted us $1200+ for a sedated ear cleaning (we paid $500+ for that at another vet for the same treatment and the follow up visit was only $35). Over $2500 later, and our dog still is not well. They finally prescribed Amoxicillin yesterday. It seems that they are allowing the dog to stay sick so that they can keep getting our money. Our dog has had her annual check ups and has had two surgeries over the years. Trust me, we are very familiar with fees having cared for her over the years including taking her to the emergency, get blood tests, ultrasounds, and other things. Looking at all our vet bills, this place is the ABSOLUTE WORST when it comes to pricing. We used to go there when Dr. Rue owned the place, and in fact, my daughter worked there. Dr. Rue was the best. We decided to try it under the new ownership. It has been an awful experience.

The quality care for pets is just okay, the quality could be improved. They do tend to charge a lot and the meds are extremely expensive. They make you wait so long at check out, it ridiculous... They need to hire better veterinarians too.

Brought my dog here for an ear infection. She normally sees a vet in TX, but we have visiting out in CA for a couple months. After 3 "follow-up" appointments that cost $300-$600 each, they tell me that a sedated ear cleaning will cost $1200. I told them that we'd rather wait till we get back to TX.The last time we got sedated ear cleaning was $600 at another clinic, and that was done on the first visit. The follow up appointment w/medication was $75.

By far the most unprofessional vet I have ever encountered. I couldn't even get an appointment scheduled the assistant was so incredibly rude.

The doctors are helpful, proficient and the staff are really kind. We had a scheduled appointment which was rescheduled without warning five minutes before the appointment because of vaccines and supplies running out. I was already waiting outside the hospital in the parking lot.

You find out about your vet in emergencies and Irvington is 2 for 2. They tried to save my old dog who had tumors on her spleen, one had ruptured. Dr. Rue was honest and said it was 50-50. 2.5-hour surgery to remove tumors and spleen. She had cancer and lived for another 5-6 week. They tried as hard as they could.Three months ago, dog horribly attacked and got 4 bad puncture wounds. Saw her immediately and she was basically better in 2-3 weeks. Did excellent work to clean and drain wounds. Have used them for 7 years; you can tell how much the staff loves pets.

This vet is all about the money. Took our dog for a check up and walked out of there paying $2000 for blood work, EKG, tooth cleaning. Afterwards the vet said all of my dogs teeth needed to be extracted?? After cleaning??? Figure that one out $$$$. So the quote comes in for all teeth to be extracted- $ 6,000. Told them cannot pay that amount. They then said ok can you pay $3,800???. Procedure was done and now they said there was additional cost??Do not go to this vet with your beloved pets. There just in it for the money and will use your love for your pets at your expense.

We started taking our dog here during the pandemic and the staff have been incredible with her. Everyone is so kind and they all love our dog and make us feel comfortable. We have a middle-aged dachshund mix who had gum disease when we adopted her. Recently, Annie (our dog) went in for a routine teeth cleaning and ended up having 20 teeth removed. My boyfriend and I felt confident that Annie was receiving the best possible care, and the staff at Irvington Pet Hospital kept us updated on her status after the procedure. After a few days, we had a follow up appointment and they answered all of our questions. Every follow up appointment has been pleasant and my boyfriend and I leave reassured that Annie is being taken care of! Highly recommend this vet.

Dr. Rue retired and sold the practice. It is now run by a corporation that owns several clinics. Prices have skyrocketed and new staff is rude. All of the original team was amazing! I'm still looking for a good replacement.
