15 min late policy doesn't matter to them. I called to let them know I'd be running late due to traffic. They explained they had a 15 min late policy and I was only 9 minutes behind and they told me they couldn't see me. I understand a policy and what not it's the matter that they can explain to me this on the phone I was within the grace period, and the matter that they treat me when I got there was extremely rude. I think it was a shorter lady with colored hair that turned me away when I tried to explain things to her she just walked away. I would've loved to reschedule, but the matter that they treated me was extremely rude

I've been a madison reed customer for awhile now. I was super excited to get a madison reed in fremont. But it's been nothing but disappointing. A different problem each time I get my color done in fremont location. Today was icing on the cake....and not in a good way! All I was doing was roots - tell me why I had to make a commotion to be washed up. It was a 2.5hour appointment. Such a waste of my time. I will stick to my other madison reed location.

I have nothing but good things to say about the salon. My color always comes out great and I don't have to make a mess of my bathroom anymore and pull out a bunch of equipment bowls and scales to do professional hair color in my own home and worry about missed spots in the back of my head. The new subscription that they started offering this year for people who need color less often is very reasonable as my hair does not grow very fast, so that was a big win, It is fairly easy to schedule and reschedule or cancel your appointments through the app. My only true desire would be to be able to book with a specific colorist. I prefer some colorists work to others in terms of application and it would just be nice to be able to go to the same person every time. Other than that, I have to say that since my color is pretty straightforward, I just get roots and gloss done, it's a super convenient service for a good price in a good location and I'm happy that they are here.

I generally go to Atelier Studio (Aveda salon) in San Jose, but decided to give this a try as they came recommend and I liked that they have a relatively natural product compared to most other brands.I would like to break down this review into two sections: the product and the service.The product itself seems pretty good. Time will tell how long it will last but I liked that they had a super black color available.The lady who put the color in my hair was knowledgeable and pleasant. It took a turn when an assistant washed my hair. First off, the station where they wash your hair has an odd neck thing that lifts depending on your body structure. It is extremely uncomfortable and covers the lower portion of your hair everything doesn't get cleaned. The girl who cleaned my hair did not cover my ears when cleaning around them and water kept going inside.Then when she finished, I told her the edges near my neck had not been cleaned. She said she did her "best" and tried to wipe it down with wipes and solution. I've never seen a salon avoid shampooing color out and just using solution. You have to know how to tilt the person's head so it gets cleaned with water and shampoo.After she finished giving her best shot, I went to the self dry area and saw so many stains and wet color in/around my ear and forehead. She didn't even wipe it clean or dry it! When I told her, her response was...I tried my best and you can clean up if you'd like.Ummm...isn't that part of the service? Also, Madison Reed advertises a head massage when shampooing...no massage.Tried to talk to the manager but didn't seem to have any accountability. She was pleasant but unfortunately didn't try to tell the girl or teach her how to shampoo. Only justifications. At the end of the day, their price is similar to Aveda and their service is subpar. Would not go back at all. Do not recommend.

Smells good and my hair still soft and shiny when I used Madison Reed Hair color. I like the color medium brown.

Went in to ask a question and was received with awful service , and gave me weird looks like yea maybe I was dressed down but it doesn't give them the option to be rude.

1) consultation wasn't great2) I took appointment for full color but the stylist told me she will do gloss and root touch up. Did not tell me what the pricing is3) she assumed I apply henna as I am of Indian origin. MR please provide bias training4) application was poorer with stains on forehead salon. No one cleaned up the color on my cheek or neck5) deep conditioning was offered but it was just a second that it was left on. A price tag of 12$ and how will a second make a differenceThen the big price tag as glossing apparently more than full color application. Who knew?

Tried calling salon to let them know i would be late by few however no one picks up. i reach in a rush 12 minutes late only to be told they can’t take me in ..seriously???? 0 customer service

Best Madison Reed in the BayArea! Trish, Tianna, and Natalie are Amazing. These ladies are super sweet, have excellent customer service, and stay in the now for all the freshest trends. I can’t wait to go back and would recommend the Fremont location over all the others. Take it from me, I’ve been to other locations and they are not up to par.

I had a wonderful service and color. I have been using Madison Reed at home since 2017. Today I had my first color at the Fremont location.Stephanie colored my hair and now I have a monthly subscription that I can use every 6 weeks for a root touch up.I recommend Madison Reed for color service and their product!

I loved my hair and my experience here thanks to Tianna! She listened to me and helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my hair and made my vision come to life. She was kind and professional and the entire salon had a good vibe. Will come back again.

I just left the place and Iam so disappointed. I waited so long to have my hair to be washed and on top of that I pointed to Linh the colorist 2 spots she missed and she ignored me. And sure enough when I checked my hair there were 2 areas with gray still. I've been a madison reed customer for awhile now but I'm thinking of canceling my subscription. But I love the lady who washed my hair though.
