After working with several of the custom plastics fabricators in the Bay Area, I was referred to Plastics Depot by one of the large plastics suppliers. My job was not simple, high quantity, and very custom. I LOVED working with Tom because he's responsive and thorough compared to the hundreds of other vendors I'm using on this large scale project. Projections were accurate for both cost and time. On my project, that was quite a welcome relief.

Just want to express my gratitude to Victor of Plastic Depot who did an excellent job in making acrylic/plexiglass for my formal dining room table. I gave him a pattern/template to follow because of the unusual design on my table. He said he'll get it done in a week, sure enough it was done on time and it was perfect. Thank you so much, Victor! Good Luck & God Bless.

I used Plastic Depot 3 years ago for an idea for a wedding present/wedding reception display for our older daughter. I designed a cupcake display inspired by the famous Star Trek Tri-Dimensional chess board from the series. It was scaled larger to hold the cupcakes, but then after the wedding, could be used as a real chess board. Using the CAD files I created, the guys at Plastic Depot were awesome in tweaking some of the manufacturing issues and made it a robust and sturdy design. Went back again to Plastic Depot this past August 2016 to submit another design but for the younger daughter's wedding. It was an acrylic picture frame, but was sandwiched with clear front and back panels. At the top was a narrow slot, where wooden thin medallions in the shape of hearts could be inserted. Wedding guests were invited to write their names and wishes to the couple before dropping them into the picture frame. This design also turned out as awesome as the first project. I would not hesitate calling on Tom and Victor and the rest of the staff - they are pros at their craft and have good turn around time. And they are great guys too!!!

I own a trophy shop and have always had to job out my custom acrylic/plastic fabrication to various companies across the US with usually disappointing results. I found Plastric Depot on Google and called Chao and talked to him about a custom project I was working on and was pleasantly surprised that he could visualize what I was describing over the phone. He made some suggestions why my idea of the design wouldn't work and he came up with a much more elegant way of doing what I wanted to do. The first version of the design was rejected by my customer and I went back to Plastic Depot and Chao made a new piece that my customer - who is extremely hard to please - absolutely raved about. I am so glad that I found Plastic Depot because being able to use someone reliable and good at their craft will open up more business opportunities for me.

I was thinking plastics today. I used these guys a few years with my old job as an manufacturing engineer and even my Graduate level projects. The owner is Chao, but I always called him Mr. Chao, real nice guy. I made up drawings for my Graduate Level Mechanical Project, gave him the specs drawings and he fabbed up my fixture in no time at all. It was pretty cool project, actually it was a wind tunnel that tested the thermal efficiency of different types of heat sinks. It was pretty accurate fixture too.... when compared to to theoritical equations. The tunnel was cool cause everything was see through! pshawww. Anyways one day, I accidently left my thermal heaters on, and melted part of my project. I was freaking out, I had a deadline to be met, qualification needed to be done. Plastic Depot came and saved the day. I faxed them hand drawings of what I needed to fix my project, and drove there to pick up my parts. Ofcourse it was ready when I got there. Long story short, I aced my last class for my masters and got my degree.

These guys are great. i use them for work and personal stuff. More of a custom fabrication place than a storefront shop. They have CNC machining of plastics which means parts cut with that method are usually pretty darn accurate. Always friendly and most jobs I have given them are done in a day or two and at a great price. You can also buy material there.
