Wow ,with a credit score of 744 and income of 160000$ you can’t get a small amount loan ,if they don’t want to give loan why they run people credit ,I don’t know what else they want ,maybe they want joe bidden or Donald trump to co sign for you . do not give any kind of loan application they won’t approve it ,

Great customer service, tellers are very personable and connected to helping you find the right auto loan for refinancing. I have fairly new established credit and I was able to drop my Payment from over 400/month down to 200/month which will make my life a lot easier, and help with my anxiety each month! Isamar at the Fremont branch is very intelligent and explains everything throughly. Definitely would recommend provident!

I was very Impressed with Isamar (Izzy). She was tremendously amazing, professional, friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. She helped me to choose and open the right accounts. I am closing my other big well known bank accounts and moving to Provident Credit Union because of their low bank fees, high interest saving rates, other services like Medallion signature and amazing customer services. My mom just became a new member of Provident Credit Union with the help of Izzy. I highly recommend Izzy. She is the best!!!!!

Today, I had the BEST customer care EVER! Hence, I didn't say customer service because Crystal Whiteston should be training ALL customer service represntatives on how to care for customers. Crystal was friendly, courteous, caring, patient, knowledgeable...I could go on and on about Crystal(sorry for the digression). Crystal assisted me with opening up a new account and throughout the entire process I smiled because the experience was so easy. Anyone who's looking for a bank and or credit union will do themselves a disservice should they NOT decide to become a member of Provident. Thank you Crystal for being YOU!!

9168032700 I wanted to deposit cash into a Provident account of a friend. The teller said if I am not a member I cannot deposit unless I become a temporary member. She will have to ask for all my information with some questions. I have been a credit union member of another company for over 30 years and I used other CU for lots of business banking when I travel and never had this type of invasive experience. I walked out and will give my friend the cash. I have also done share bank transfers to many accounts and have only had problems with this credit union.

I didn't even want to give 1 star!!! My 1st time coming to this place and I'm extremely disappointed!!!! One of their employees whom I was dealing with was suppose to 1st thing this morning run my application for a car loan. After not hearing from her at all, I called around 9:10 ish and left a message with another staff message to have her return my call. It's now 12:11 and I haven't heard anything and my application should have been done already!!! When I called at 12:11 pm , Sabreen Awad apologized and said she was so busy this morning she forgot to run the application, I was so upset telling her that per our conversation last night when she called at 6:03 pm as soon as my son and I left the business, she said she would do it 1st thing in the morning and now for her to tell me she forgot and was headed to lunch and would do it when she got back.... I was extremely upset because my son and I had been waiting hours for something that is a quick process. I called back after 3 pm and it went to voicemail and I asked her to have a manager call me at this point! She finally called back and I expressed how upset I was that it is now past 3 pm and this matter should have been taken care of this morning and I told her how upset that she said she forgot to work on it when she came in this morning. She raises her voice at me and basically called me a liar!! She kept saying she never said that when she clearly did!!!! I had her on speaker at the time at work because I was rubbing hand sanitizer on my hands and even my colleagues heard her and said how unprofessional she was!!!!! 1st impressions are everything and this Sabreen Awad is extremely unprofessional!!!!!!! Where did u find her?!!!!!!

Izzy (Isamar Alvarez) at Provident helped me out with a car lease buyout. She did a great job of explaining everything to me clearly and answered all of my questions. The lease buyout was taken care of with speed and ease, which made me really happy. I had been incredibly stressed by the process because before coming to Provident, my time was wasted by a different credit union that lied to me about doing lease buyouts until after they pulled my credit. Working with Provident was the opposite --a great & stress-free experience, what a relief!

I was assisted on Friday evening for an increase to my credit card by "Isamar Alvarez | Universal Agent" she had a sense of urgency to make sure my Lilit increase reflected ASAP on my credit card. What she didn't know is I had expenses for a funeral. This helped to cover expenses that needed to be paid for. Provident CU should feel fortunate to have such a stellar employee ! Thanks, JM

Update : within 5 minutes of posting this Yelp review corporate reads it and blames the branch office. NO! These problems are a corporate, systems issue. Provident Board of Directors, please study organizational systems theory and modern financial management. The problems are Credit Union- wide and are due to top- down central policies. I don't blame individual tellers who don't set policies for bad corporate practices. Look at the whole picture. Original review: I've dealt with this credit Union for 35 years. The staff at the branch are are very nice. Thank you Edwin and the tellers! They are very pleasant to deal with. They do the best they can with the processes they are given to operate with. It's the credit union's internal processes and account services department that are cumbersome, unwieldy, and downright impossible to deal with. At present I'm the executor of my dads estate and trying to close his accounts. I came into this branch three weeks ago, filled out the paperwork, gave them the requested addresses. Today I called the Redwood City account services dept to inquire about the status of the checks. The account services dept in Redwood City lost all the paperwork! I had to go back down to the local branch, fill out and notarize everything again. Another 1.5 hour wasted. It doesn't help my mood that today another of Dad's banks also has asked me for duplicate paperwork, and I've had to deal with two incompetent financial institutions in one day. I don't know how banks can keep misplacing paperwork with sensitive identifying info on it. It's a frustrating waste of time. Anyway, back to Provident. Their interest rates are lower than other credit union's, so check around. Since 1985, It takes an hour or two to open an account: awful.(Corporate, don't blame these current tellers, they were in preschool when I opened my first PCU accts!) Redwood City account services are impossible to deal with. They won't accept my lawyers's legal documents and insist on receiving specific forms that don't exist. I'd recommend avoiding this entity of a Credit Union. There are much easier Credit Unions to deal with. Again, I'm not talking about this specific branch. They are really nice people and try their best. It's the whole corporation, they make the policies. .
