I really liked the first worker Leslie she was more supportive than the current one I have Depti she really doesn’t solve the problems. If you have trouble with transportation for work she will give you information about the bus system knowing that you have to work early in the morning and an alternative transportation would be best. She complains that she have a lot to do so what? You are a social worker it’s your job to help others. If I need help with transportation she tell me wait till Monday. My job isn’t going to wait for transportation on Monday.

I would say that, having worked with SAVE for sometime now when I approached them for help, they assisted me with a Walmart gift card for all the complains against my husband. When California is an Uncontested divorce state, they advised me to file complaints against my husband. When I was with no shelter, Ms Saral Patel did guide but then suddenly my advocate was changed and when I didn’t follow her advise, they just abandoned me. I requested them repeatedly for help. They keep sending emails for thanksgiving and food and all, the real help any person would want at these difficult times would be a guidance for how to get a job and becoming independent.

I don’t want any help in finding any parter, as it looked like what they were suggesting. The only time I found help was when I started helping myself. It’s a slow process but definitely safe and reliable.

I have used SAVE ince before, and I have to say that they are wonderful...For the people who have posted badley about SAVE watch your tongue they have been great to me and my child not to mention keep us safe and alive. Shakira is amazing, Heather has more compassion and understanding then most. Kelly is just an awesome and understanding human being.... please remember for those who are reading this SAVE is not a miracle worker you have to do work yourself and want it you have to be away from your abuser and want it. Save will always help you with resources applications and do the best that they can I for one who wish to remain anonymous he was helped out and helped into a transitional so for the people who talked badly about save I think the problem is there's not saves. There are many many many lives that does save has helped and some of us like me have ended up in another domestic violence situation and still save is there they do not discriminate they do not talk badly about and they do not look down upon they are women whom I cannot say for certain but believe they've been where we've been and walked in our shoes so for those who don't know save if you need help reach out they will help you.

Save really has a lot to work on I came to them three four years ago because of my first relationship with domestic violence I noticed constantly that jacia and Kate would only give me emergency shelter referral and hotel stay and I kept explaining I needed something transitional or permanent I needed something where I could tackle my health issues and address all my needs and have stability they did not listen to me on this and continued to give me shelters that were not ADA Compliant and discriminated against me left and right for racial reasons and disability that was not in favor of helping me in the long run I am still suffering with domestic violence I went in a few days ago made copies of my police report and filled out my complaints around my housing because my disability needs are not being honored or met and Kate had the nerve to acknowledge me and not show any concern or care no one even asked me even though they were making copies of the reports that had save's logo on them if I was okay and If I needed help I have been denied services and full Services completely they have told me by phone call that they would not allow me therapy I have been denied emergency help when an immediate danger issue has come up I actually called today because I was in the emergency room due to an injury a few days ago the lady told me to go put myself in Boarding care I have watched them take in people who have been exited from shelters for breach of confidentiality of location whose abusers were incarcerated who are abled bodied who drink and do substance abuse has no job or desire to get one but they won't help someone who is permanently disabled who has no personal support network who has reliable monthly income does not have substance abuse problems or drinks and is on disability and relies on their abuser for In-Home Care Help and getting to their appointments I honestly do believe at this point that there is some discrimination going on towards domestic violence victims coming in to them who are black and no they are not trauma-informed or sensitive to the unique barriers that people of color have to face especially black women and then if you have multiple things like disability and lack of Support Network you just going to be hit a roadblock after roadblock failed and set up to be killed just like me

I lived at the Save house, @ladybug @nekajones I pray that karma does not come after you for making up these lies, in my experience at the save shelter, most likely @nikajones you were probably one of the toxic ones that most of the woman prayed for staff to kick out! lol but yet gave you a 30 day notice for harassing other woman and bulling all the girls and complained about how things were not hand feed to you, or finding ways to take advantage of good ppl like Save @ladybug while sitting in the couch all day watching Maury and not following the rules , they also have limits to and they can only do so much ,with people that actually should be in mental hospitals or drug rehabilitation programs , and should not be at the save house ,at least I always thought so ,plus @thedirector there are cameras, I witnessed these thugs ,that would end up getting kicked out yes, but because they were harassing other woman including the staff, and yet I saw them still giving them a 30 day notice!! actually I would pray for them to leave most of the woman did because they were toxic for the other woman and dirty omg!other Save residents and I would end up washing their dishes ,and we cleaned after them not because we were told to by staff ,but because we felt bad for Shakila, she was the one that picked up after these toxic woman, I saw one or 2 that were just straight up rude and disrespectful to Kelly and Heather yet Kelly and Heather were very professional and I have never ever seen them disrespect anyone, especially mock and laugh ??!at any one!! @ladybug you know your comment is a lie and you should be ashamed of yourself, ask God to forgive you for trying to smudge there image! Save staff treats everyone with respect, actually caring for humans because lets face it there not getting rich by working at a non profit organization, on the contrary in some occasions they have to deal with headaches like yourself, that just want to be hand feed. The Save ladies they have a lot of patience and I mean a lot! of patience, and poor Shakila is the one that mostly the one that has to put up with the trouble makers but yet she still hugs them and cares for them, she’s like the mom of the Save house ,they truly give people a lot, I wish that all shelters, or DV shelters were like them with people that truly cared and were passionate about helping others like these woman!Save has changed the course of many woman's lives and my life ,well those also willing to work hard for a better life, they give you all the tools and you build the rest! and many people that came through the save shelter can agree and wont let me lie ,that this place is a life changing place like no other,Save became my family, they literally saved my life ,seriously my life has changed so much I can’t even believe it myself, when I came to Save I was at a point were I just wanted to just die I was super suicidal, thinking in my head over and over how I would end my life, no job, I just wanted to die under a rock, just in the worst shape possible. Two powerful things the save woman did and When I say these woman I mean 3 beautiful ladies, I can’t say much about the others because in all honesty , maybe because I did not have any interaction with the other workers from Save, but at the shelter there are 3 beautiful ladies that saved my life, Shakila, Kelly and Heather they became my family ,my friends, my role models. I think 2 things these beautiful ladies did , they believed in me, when I did not believe in my self ,they did not judge me, these girls never gave up on me , I love them dearly, the way that I have observed the house they have a lot of work on there plate they looked over worked at times ,and I don’t believe they pay them well because I saw a recent job listing and it was really low, I would hate leave ,actually I really wished that we could duplicate these 3 beautiful ladies and place them in all of these shelters and places were people need help ,the world would be a better place!! I love my Save family will support them always!!!!

I would not go to this facility unless you need free food. I am a victim of domestic violence, financial embezzlement and then abused severely by the San Leandro Police Department when filing a complaint. Save trains this said police department. Yet I was never offered a domestic violence person to be present while filing a police report in hopes the DAs office would help me. Instead the police showed up as 3 men who harassed me and abused me. When I went to SAVE, it was obvious after my telling the truth that SAVE is pimped out by the county. They never followed up and had students lead their support groups which knew nothing of abuse. Well, the truth be known a Criminal was attempting to have me murdered. The Criminal Judge did put him away. That's nice, beings though my name is on that charge for all to see and the DA ignored and belittled me. I lost my home and Restitution dates were changed and I was not informed. Save did not by any means support me as a female victim of crime. I contacted the main Lady many times, who holds a big fat degree, she never got back to me to help me at all. I did get to take cans of soup home when I had nothing and am grateful for that. Save has received my letter of dismay and has not responded for those women who work there know my concerns were ignored. Good luck if you are a woman abused.
