Last week when I went to pick up my prescription, the pharmacist stated that they didn't have enough of my medicine on hand but to call back in a week to pick up the remaining supply. (NO problem).Because they were out of the medicine 2 months ago and had to send me to a pharmacy 45 minutes away from home. (I had a horrible experience with that pharmacy), today, I did exactly what they said.I called, the pharmacy tech said, yes we have your remaining quantity in stock and to come pick it up. The pharmacist MICHELLE then said that, I had to wait. My not wanting to risk them being out of medication again asked her why?She stated that, "she remembered and helped me and I had to wait until I was finished with my supply on hand." What the??? (LOL)I explained to her that, (paraphrasing) like the San Ramone pharmacy I feel as if I am being stero typed. She literally started yelling some nonsense about my playing the race card and hung the phone up in my face.I ask everyone, whose the patient here, myself or temper tantrum pharmacist MICHELLE?By the way, although it was no where in my thoughts Michelle invited me to report her, perhaps I will.

The young pharmacist that worked this past Saturday. Was very rude to me and embarrassed me in front of other people waiting in line. I could not hear what they were trying to say because of the glass shield and their masks, I asked them to step to the side of the glass so I could hear them, she got very rude and said " stop shouting". I was not shouting at all, and I told her I'm not shouting I just cant hear you! Not a very good way to treat the elderly who happen to be a little hard of hearing. Maybe classes on how to treat your elderly customers would be appropriate.I have not had problems at all with the other pharmacists that work there, very sweet and helpful and professional. Just this young caucasian girl.Wish I would have got her name, because I dont want the others to get in trouble because of this one very rude girl

Waited over 1 hour in the long line to get my fried chicken on Fridays. The store should limit 2 bag for each person.

If you need a quick deli sandwich, you better hope no one is in front of you in line. I've been there twice and had to leave because I would've spent most of my lunch break there. I would not have gotten to eat the sandwich before my shift was back on. Safeway needs to get more deli workers and quicker ones. Quantity and quality!

Bakery staff is unreliable. Ordered a 2 full sheets of cake for a retirement party and the minute I got there the staff just started the second sheet! Spoke to the manager the day before and made sure that this would get done on time but her excuse was that the staff was new! Such BS. They could've done a courtesy call to say that the second cake was not made. This was pretty embarrassing on my end showing up with one cake to my company party. This cake was made horribly as well!!!! Soo disappointed at with the bakery staff!!

One star because there isn't a choice for zero stars. The store has become pretty rundown overall and the employees are hit or miss, but our family has shopped here for years so we continued. No more. Done. Short story: my Mom who is 86 was treated abysmally by a disrespectful, short tempered, RUDE cashier named Stephanie. My mother was trying to pay for an item under $5.00 with the exact amount when this employee snatched the $5.00 bill my Mom was holding out of her hand and said "I don't have time for you to dig through your coins". Seriously, she did this! It gets worse: she then mocked my Mom three times saying "Yeah, yeah, yeah" in a nasty way when Mom tried to protest this treatment. She couldn't have been in that big a hurry because prior to scanning the groceries she took the time to complain about the employee who filled in on her register while she was on break. Is it that hard to hire even slightly professional employees these days? Self checkouts are taking over and I can see why.

The Safeway in Fremont has been good to us we not only took a nap in the parking lot but we were able to grab a nice Sandwich inside as they make beautiful sandwiches with the Boar's Head Meats cut freshly for you you can't beat that. anyway everything else we wanted is there the fresh fruit was nice and as Travelers that were coming through not stocking a household just getting a few things for a snack and lunch we're very happy thank you very much Mr Safeway

Came here primarily for the pharmacy. The pharmacy lunch period is 1-1:45 pm which is reasonable. 1:45 pm comes - still closed. Called pharmacy, no pick up. Called store, and then pharmacist walks past us at 1:50 pm without acknowledging the line. I asked her when the pharmacy would open and she said, "Soon." without breaking her stride and while continuing to talk on her cell phone. 10 minutes later at 2:00, she opens the pharmacy. Pharmacy shows a free covid test sign. I ask about them and the pharmacist says insurance stopped paying for it earlier this year. Told her it's likely a good idea to get rid of the sign then. She just said, " Yeah..."My doctors office sent in a prescription days ago. When I showed up, it wasn't ready. Had to wait another 15 minutes for them to prepare it. Worst pharmacy ever....

We went there twice for NAAT within 48 hrs of travel. The flight was next day at LAX so time was super tight.First time at 10AM, we waited around 30 mins, the associate called Nina brought an OPENED kit, and after test, she directly took the sample inside and told us result will be sent to email. After 6 hours, still nothing so I called back and was told they failed to test our sample WITHOUT notifying us. I suspected our sample wasn't even sent to the lab.We had to drive 50 mins back and took another test at 6PM. Checked in and waited 45 mins. Another technician brought a sealed kit and opened it in front of us, which looks more reasonable and professional. After spinning, we saw he put the sample into a machine for test. Then we stayed for another 30 mins to get the result on site.This is an extremely exhausting experience. Makes no sense for such a simple covid test to take 3hrs and difficult conversations. The only star is for the professional associate who did his job well in the afternoon. That's it.

This is for the deli - I waited 10 minutes for the sandwich maker to finish 1 person's order, then 5 minutes to do 1/3 sandwiches on the next person's order. After 15 minutes of waiting, I left this absurdly slow Safeway to grab food somewhere else.

Staff is polite. Service can be slow. They make good use of text communication. Lines can be long.

I very rarely write negative reviews. But the lady helping out at the self check out registers today was just not pleasant at all! It's not my fault the machine was slower than me scanning. I was scanning my items and I moved it to the bagging area. The register said I had an item in the wrong place. I tried to move it back and it said I needed help. The lady working there almost started yelling at me! She was like "what did you do?" She even counted the number of items I had scanned compared to the register as if I was trying to steal something? Just very unpleasant. And really bad customer service. Even made a bad joke about how I owe her a drink? I said thank you for your help and tried to get out of there as fast as possible. Don't think I'll return to this Safeway in the future.

I'm writing this review specifically for the flower bunch/bundle/boquet artist that was working on the evening of July 5th I didn't even want flowers but the arrangements were exceptional and impressive! I also asked for the artist's name to write this review but I forgot it on the way home because it was late, sorry! Thanks for brightening my day, take care!

This is my worst experience ever shopping at Safeway. I chose self check-out. Somehow, the screen indicated that I needed store assistant help before I made payment. So I called the one who is very close to me. She seemed very reluctant to help and actually I did not see her doing anything very important. She's just checking or moving peanuts one by one in one basket. She just let me wait for one minute and let me watch her doing her staff. She's just in front of my within 8 feet. I did not see the name tag, she's wearing glasses with black frame and curly hair. She came to me and She's speaking very loudly to me and blaming me that I should not bag the grocery before I scanned everything. Yes, she blamed customer for that with very rude attitude. To be honest, I have lived in Fremont for 9 years and shopped all the Safeway's around. For self check-out, I always bag before I make payment as long as you bay on the bagging area, I didnot see any problem. I highly doubt what she claimed that it was my problem. The worst version, She needed to check out items number and messed my bagged groceries. She did not re-bagged for me just left everything messy on the bagging area. This is really really rude which is not acceptable. Customer comes to shop your store. You are going be patient and nice wit your service but not with your attitude.
