DO NOT RENT HERE. 100% Fraud!!!!! Person in the front counter is rude and don’t know what she is doing. Booked a truck days in advance. Showed up and they said sorry we don’t have your truck but we’ll have a van available in 5 days. What????? Cancelled and went to u-haul. Then budget decided to charge me 150 for a non cancellation fee. What??? You didn’t have my truck, you were rude, you didn’t cancel, what the heck was I charged for lol ? had to call customer service because of course this location said sorry we can’t help call our 800 number. Smh horrible service do not go here!!!!!

I worked with them in getting my move off the road. First I had reserved a cargo van for my trip about a week in advance. I felt the cargo van would be better suited to my senior body that has trouble climbing in and out of high places. When I arrived there were no cargo van.
They offered the next one up, 12 footer for the same price. I had a timeline that I needed to keep so I took it. It looked fairly new so I drove it home. About 15 - 20mins fromrental site. I found the AC didn't work. I called and the young woman was apologetic and would call her boss and see if the could get another one. Not going to Texas without AC. In the interim of waiting I had to call the loaders and postpone to the next day. By the time the truck was available it was pushing 5pm. I exchanged the van, did our walk round and the cab was nice and cool. The AC was working. Boss took off $100 dollars of rental. That was nice.
The loaders showed up the next day and within an hour I was on my way.
I drove van over the grapevine on I5 south. I stopped to get gas around Newhall. When I started up the van I saw a message "Transmission is hot, idle engine". I did that a few minutes. No change.
I wanted to head out so I turned off the AC hoping that would take pressure off engine and headed East on 210. The light was still on. I pulled over and parked in a parking lot for 20-25 min with the engine off. When I restarted engine no warning light. I continued down the 210, but I noticed the engine light was now on. A few more miles and the Transmission warning came on. So I was pulling over to the off ramp when the truck kicked and made a thud sound. I believe from roar of the engine and not being able to shift, the truck was stuck in second gear.
I'm now sitting in the truck out front of a diner waiting for roadside assistance. That was about 45 minutes ago, when I called for help, no ETA. TBC???

FRAUD!!!!!! They put my boyfriend in a do not rent list when he has never rented from them! The lady at the front counter is the rudest person I have ever meet and we will be seeking fraudulent charges against her and this business.

Good service, just that there was a miscommunication on billing. The lady was happy to check and verify everything. Plus corrected the error and had us out the door in no time. Especially since we were the first to arrive at 8 am.

BUYER BEWARE!!!I was quoted 200 + 35 insurance on the phone for 2 days 400 miles. When I returned the vehicle they charged me over $500 (Double my U-Haul quote)... apparently their racket is to under quote the mileage to initiate the rental. The rep there told me that her manager told her to put 25 miles "to keep my deposit low". My mistake was that I didn't read my contract close enough to catch their deception. I could have covered any reasonable deposit they could have thrown at me. Instead of allowing me to talk to the manager he advised her to just call the police(how's that for customer service!)Also my rental was trashed, smelled like cigarettes' and chew spit, pulled to the right, shook when driving over 50, had the check engine and oil lights on.

Employees give u the wrong information and then the boss wants to say that I was in the wrong and say I can’t rent from them anymore ? a BIG JOKE AND They need to educate their employees before hiring them

Was supposed to get 20% off rental. I Didn't. I was 15 min late in returning truck and was charged 15 dollars. This was a very costly experience.

They ALL pass the buck basically franchise dealers, Bakersfield "Budget" "hand wrote" on contract drop off Tuesday 1:30pm Monday is Holiday "no extra charge" Fresno says nope deal with them and Bakersfield says no deal with Fresno. Service and arrogance!! Suggest other options.
