Beware of using this company. I have filed a consumer complaint against this company with the California Attorney General's office for loading my property in the back of another load so the items could not be retrieved at the end of the move. I was forced to sell my items but not reimbursed for the move. The kayak and paddle were new. The damage to my media console is irreparable. These actions are criminal. I am a disabled veteran over 65, and I believe I was targeted. This company's mover also damaged a new media console by breaking the leg off. The shipping agent at Colonial was negligent by not reimbursing me for the items that could not be retrieved or getting the fair price from the driver to reimburse me after I found my receipts. They also have refused to reimburse me for what I paid to move those items.

Worst movers. Many of our items were broken, several boxes were lost, extremely poor communicate and lack of follow up, what communication we received was not accurate, did not reimburse as quoted. Would certainly NOT recommend them.

Kirk & his workers were excellent in getting everything in our house. They put everything together & put each item & boxes where we wanted it with no problem. I would highly recommend them. The price was over $10,000 cheaper than Mayflower & delivered sooner also. Kirk the driver was always letting us know where he was at for our scheduled delivery, from California to Florida.

I'd love to give this company a proper review, but the sales dept never returned my call. Consequently, I was forced to go with another company instead. How does a company compete in the marketplace when it's own employees are poisoning the business?

The pack up crew and load crew were all amazing. Every time we move it’s nerve wrecking and they’ve put my worries at ease. They talked us through with what they were doing and verified what needed to be packed and what was staying. They made sure they cleaned up their mess before leaving my house even though I told them I’ll take care of it. The crew was kind and easy to talk to, they moved fast but also handled everything with care. Beyond happy with their services and thankful that they were able to assist us with our pack out before our deadline to leave.

Kurt is a very professional man , he did a great jobEileen seems to promise things she can’t deliverJust to get you to sign the contract. I paid extra to have intertainment center put together, well that didn’t happen and neither beds were put upIf you look at the contract , this company owes me140.00 that needs to be put back on my card . If my money is returned to card I will not leave aNegative review about this company . Even KurtSays Eileen promises what she can’t deliver .Thank you!!

Overall; not a good experience.Still missing some key items that I am really needing.1. A 5-6 foot yellow Step Ladder2. A small Hand Truck that I could be using everyday as we’re unloading boxes.3. A “Parts Box” that contains the mounting hardwarefor installing the big mirrors on our masterbedroom Dresser/Chest.A four wheel dolly was also missing but one of the drivers had one shipped to me, it’s not the one that belongs to me but I’m using it anyway.Overall; not a good experience as the delivery of our furniture was 8 days later than the best Allied dates quoted. Please see if someone can find our missing items,Gary

I moved from St. George, Utah to Fresno in May. Our furniture had to go into their storage facility, because our home wasn't ready. While trying to schedule a late July move date I was told by Kim in the Fresno office that it's a two day job. One day to pack the truck and the next day to deliver. I was told on the delivery day, they were packing my furniture at 6 in the morning. Delivery was scheduled for August 4th at 8:30. At 9:00 the office called to say the guys were running an hour late. They also needed $4000 dollars before they would deliver it. This was to move me from downtown (10 miles) and store my furniture for 64 days. This was after paying them $7000 to move from Utah to storage. I was informed, if you don't pay it right now you don't get your stuff. At noon the first truck showed up. The minute I looked at the l**** movers, I knew they were not professional. They looked totally confused as to what to do, and they were! They had no idea how to remove the refrigerator doors, so they chose to bring the refrigerator through the front double doors. They dropped my refrigerator into the wall in the entryway. Which left a hole in the wall and dented the front of a 3 year old refrigerator. When they brought in my safe they had damaged the handle and scratched the hell out of the dial. They broke the legs on a patio table and taped it so we wouldn't notice. They cracked my solid oak night stands and tore the handles off of the dresser. How do you crack solid oak? I was told to file a claim for damages which I did. I was contacted by one of their reps, Char, she is a real winner to work with. Talk about an attitude. You'd think she was paying for the damages. Everything that was damaged or replaced had to be paid for in advance and receipts submitted for reimbursement. I understand that, but even then I had to fight for every penny. Char didn't want to pay up, because my replacement patio table was $1100 dollars. She told me that I had only put in a replacement cost of $600. I explained to her that i don't buy patio furniture everyday and had no idea how much the table would cost. Perhaps your movers shouldn't have broken it. They paid, grudgingly. I had added to this claim after finding more damage on two other pieces of furniture, but was told by Char I was just dragging out the claim. At that point, I told her I didn't like her attitude and I had nine months to file claims! She said, oh it's fine. If it was fine, why did she have an attitude. I finally withdrew the rest of the claim. I just can't do it anymore. I'd like to mention the movers one more time. After breaking my refrigerator and putting a hole in the wall they, were having a little party in my bedroom, laughing, listening to music and singing at the top of their lungs and sitting on the furniture. They are not supposed to sit on the furniture! Had I known this I would have kicked their asses out of my house. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the Allied in Fresno. Greedy unprofessional losers.

Will I ever see the rest of my stuff again? Its been 4 months now since Colonial van/Allied has taken possession of my belongings for my move from California to Washington state. I was told 2 trucks would most likely be needed as there was so much stuff. The first truck arrived on time and was very professional in their loading and accounting of the stuff. However I was told that it wouldn't all fit so a second truck was indeed needed. Second truck came the next day but this was and "overflow" truck and I was informed that these items would be going into their warehouse in Fresno and then delivered later. The first delivery went as planned except that I was called at 4pm on the friday before to finalize the invoice and pay IN FULL the remaining balance. (around 29K onto my credit card because that wasn't enough time to get to the bank to get a cashier's check and then drive it to their downtown office.) If I didn't pay then I couldn't receive my delivery on Monday in washington. That is the "not professional" part of my review.Weeks went by with no contact. After I started calling I was told they were having problems getting a truck to come pick it up. I had to call the corporate Allied office. why was I the one who had to do this? So finally I got word that a truck had come to pick up my "overflow" portion (2 months later). When it arrived in Washington I was informed that there were still 15 items that were left in fresno because they couldn't all fit it on this truck. Sheez! So now they've resorted to "crating" my remaining belonging and it is still sitting in the fresno warehouse waiting to be picked up. Why is my stuff such low priority? Because THEY ALREADY HAVE MY MONEY! I will be filing a formal complaint because this is ridiculous. I guess Colonial has done their part they say because they have it ready to be picked up. So really it is the parent company Allied that is dropping the ball. If so, why can't they get this done? Don't they have any influence in what gets shipped? They have not fulfilled the contract to deliver my belongings.
