I had a customer ask me if I've ever eaten gotten food from the lady that cooks in the back of the store before? He said the burgers, the chicken, all good. Well after over a month of eating gas station junk food and a couple of food trucks, I figure, besides my life, what do I have to lose? It's almost lunch time, so I show up a bit early. To your right when you enter, past the register and all the alcoholics buying beer, is an unassuming stand didn't look open initially. Oh wait, I guess I s supposed to look like it doubles as a storage area. My bad. So I settle on a pastrami burger and fries for about $7.50 They have cheaper combos that actually come with a drink, but no pastrami combo. I get my burger with grilled onion and the works. I take my food to go, because it's the only option lol. Find a nice shady spot, and go to town. Ordinarily I'd be lamenting the fact that it wasn't loaded with pastrami, but the taste is so good, I can't complain. It's the sauces they use really. It's not just plain ole mustard and mayo. The patties of course are frozen. But nowadays, when are they not? I know must people won't come within a mile of this place, as it's at the far end of the West Side, and I don't blame you. You'd probably stand out like a sore thumb
