This place used to be good but after the new owners (Shield Storage) took over, it's terrible. Now they are constantly raising rates, charging junk fees, etc... Went from a decent place to the classic extort your customers business model.
As other reviews have mentioned the rats are a thing now.
Look elsewhere for your storage needs!

Just don't! Some of the most vicious, non responsive, untrusting, paranoid individuals on the planet. They don't care about your circumstances; locked me out without warm clothing for 4 days....what? Not sure this will fly with the police; let's find out 🤣

The absolute worst place of business I have ever dealt with!!! Rude staff! I give them NEGATIVE stars! I would NEVER EVER recommend this business to anyone!!! I hope they close down!

Omg , I’ve paid thousands to these people , late charges and all. At one time ,more than 800$ in 3 months. I’m going somewhere else. These people are crooks and lock u out and put liens before half the month is up. I just paid everything again. Get home and there’s a letter saying I have a lien for not paying. I’m very serious. This is bad buisness. I have my reciepts. They don’t care. Beware. They will rob you blind. Gold diggers. Fresno California on San Jose street. I told them I’m on my way to show reciept. I get here and there’s a closed sign durring buisness hours. They knew I was coming. They want to addddddddd more charges. When every thing was already paid

Worst place to rent from on earth!! Fees fees fees for everything and changed my lease without consent . Won’t let you use your own lock and want you to buy there lock! 20$!! Plus a 23$ protection plan with or without you needing it or not . The prices are not the correct prices and they will change at a drop of a hat. Worst management in Fresno! Just terrible a lawyer and BBB has been contacted because of there unlawful charges!

Complaint #1. They had rats in the storage unit I rented. That contaminated all stuff which stunk and infected the place! Had to toss out hundreds worth of property!
They did nothing to make it right for a customer who spent more than 2 years with them.
Complaint #2. A newer unit I took had developed a tear or hole in the side wall fiber board which grew in size. Occurred just shortly after moving in. Said they'd repair it but never did.
Complaint #3. Very loose and indiscrete with personal info details. I didn't like that and told them that they don't need to supply TMI. Waiting on a change still.
Complaint #4. They charged me for a late fee when I was late only 1 day!!! For the first time ever in years!! Even tho I showed up in person pleading my case and that $50 for 1 day late was way too much, they refused to comp me.
Complaint #5. Charges $23 per unit per month for renters insurance coverage. That's a lot of money. Seriously . Not good.
That's 5 different complaints. People advised me to get in touch with the BBB and other agencies over these issues.

Last week, I spoke to shield storage which is the corporate of Pacific Storage about an issue I was not aware of intentionally caused by Pacific Storage. The manager broke into my storage unit and tampered my stuff. Things were missing and stolen for sure.he never told me when I ask him about the auction in person or phone call. When I asked why he lied that he told me about the auction. No he never told me about auctioning my unit month of May to June 2025. The corporate was supposed to call me this week but never did.

Managers are doing great, Rusty is nice and polite I just wish they had candy in the office for tenants.
